RESOLUTION 67-25 OF TH~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ENDORSING THE PROPOSED <br />$46.4 MILLION FLOOD CONTROL AND WATER CON- <br />SERVATION BOND ISSUE PROGPJ%M OF ORANGE COUNTY <br />FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Chief Engineer of the Orange County Flood <br />Control District has prepared an Engineer's Report for the con- <br />struction of numerous flood control and water conservation <br />projects throughout Orange County with an estimated cost of such <br />projects; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Supervisors, acting <br />as Board of Directors for the Flood Control District, has adopted <br />said report and proposes to place the matter before the voters of <br />this County for the issuance of flood control bonds to cover the <br />cost of such projects; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the previous flood control district bond issue <br />authorized in June, 1956, in the amount of $42,620,000 has played <br />a vital role in the explosive growth and expansion of Orange <br />County; and <br /> <br /> WHERF2%S, it is anticipated that the new proposed bond issue <br />will have a similar effect in the future and will be necessary <br />for the continued growth and development in the County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Santa Ana will derive <br />both direct and indirect benefits from the proposed flood control <br />projects; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed flood control bond issue above mentioned <br />will not increase the District tax rate; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Aha does hereby endorse said bond issue proposal and <br />strongly recommends the support of the issue by the voters of <br />Orange County. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of February, 1967. <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) <br />COUNTY OF OP~NGE ) ss <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
