RESOLUTION 67-127 TO THE PUBLIC UTILITIES <br />COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO <br />ENCOURAGE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AIRLINE <br />SERVICE BETWEEN THE ORANGE COUNTY AIRPORT <br />AND THE SAN JOSE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT AND <br />OAKLAND INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Orange County is one of the fastest growing counties <br />in the United States; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, increase in industry and commerce has made Orange <br />County one of the leading manufacturing counties, particularly in the <br />critical defense and aerospace industries; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, because of this tremendous growth there is a present <br />and continuing need for increased air service to other points in the <br />state; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there is a large community of interest between Orange <br />County and Alameda and Santa Clara Counties in Northern California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it would serve the convenience and necessity of the <br />citizens of Orange County to have service to San Jose Municipal Airport <br />and Oakland International Airport. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana urges the Public Utilities Commission of the State <br />of California to grant an application to provide service between <br />Oakland International Airport, San Jose Municipal Airport and Orange <br />County Airport at the soonest possible time for the benefit of the <br />businessmen and other citizens of Orange County. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Aha at its regular meeting held on the Nth day of July ~, 1967. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) SS <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
