RESOLUTION NOo 67-136 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING THAT THE <br />PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY D~AND <br />THE ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF <br />CERTAIN MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT <br />AND MAKING FINDINGS RELATING THERETO. <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Santa Ana, <br />California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the public interest and neces- <br /> <br />sity demand the acquisition and construction by said city <br /> <br />of a certain municipal improvement, to wit: <br /> <br />BOND PROPOSITION: To adopt a Program for Progress by taking <br />urgent, critical, preventive measures for the protection of health, <br />safety, general welfare and property of the citizens by repairing, <br />constructing and enlarging the city's network of sewers and storm <br />drains, for improving and increasing fire protection and super- <br />vision in critical areas, for effecting greater economies in ad- <br />ministrative efficiency for buildings, improvements and services, <br />for the purpose of repairing and improving city streets, sidewalks <br />and thoroughfares as a means of providing increased safety and <br />convenience for pedestrians and vehicular traffic, including <br />repair, replacement, relocation and widening of streets in areas <br />throughout the city, to install new and repair or replace older <br />street lighting and related facilities as needed or required, to <br />develop and expand more neighborhood parks and recreational <br />services, improvement of existing park sites and the installing <br />of needed or required services, buildings and essential equipment <br />and all lands and facilities necessary for the foregoing purposes <br />which constitute a city plan as approved by the Planning Commission <br />and the City Council, shall the city incur a bonded indebtedness <br />in the principal amount of Twenty-Five Million Dollars ($25,000,000)? <br /> <br />That the estimated cost of said municipal improve- <br /> <br />ment is $25,000,000 <br /> <br />That said municipal improvement <br /> <br />requires an expenditure greater than the amount allowed for <br /> <br />it by the annual tax levy and is necessary and convenient <br /> <br />to carry out the objects, purposes and powers of said city. <br /> <br /> <br />
