RESOLUTION 67-169 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A DEED <br />FOR THE SALE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY TO HUBERT D. HOWELL <br />FOR A CASH CONSIDERATION OF $11,500 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, heretofore the City published notice of sale of <br />surplus real property, hereinbelow described, at public auction <br />to be held at a regular meeting of the City Council on September 5, <br />1967, and at said time and place said property was sold to HUBERT <br />D. HOWELL, the highest bidder for the same, in consideration of the <br />sum of $11,500, $1,150 paid on acceptance of said bid and the balance <br />of the purchase price to be paid through Escrow No. 886 opened with <br />Western Title Guaranty Company, Santa Aha, California; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby <br />authorized to sign the Escrow instructions, and the Mayor and the <br />Clerk of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute <br />a deed granting to HUBERT D. HOWELL, a married man, as his separate <br />property, all that real property situated in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Lots 7, 8, 9, 10, and the West half of Lot 11 in Block "F" of <br />Santa Ana Investment Company Tract No. 1, Humphreys Addition to <br />Santa Ana, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 11, page 39, <br />Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles, California. <br /> <br />EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion lying within the following: <br /> <br />Beginning at the southwest corner of said Lot 7 and running thence <br />North 0" 09' 47" East 171.95 feet; thence South 89° 50' 13" East <br />7.33 feet to a point on a non-tangent curve concave northeasterly, <br />having a radius of 17.00 feet, the radial to said curve at said <br />point bears North 89° 50' 13" West; thence southeasterly along <br />said curve through a central angle of 71° 52' 26", an arc distance <br />of 21.33 feet to a point of reverse curvature, with a curve concave <br />westerly and having a radius of 43.00 feet; thence along said <br />reverse curve through a central angle of 135° 56' 43", an arc <br />distance of 102.03 feet to a point of cusp, with a non-tangent <br />line; thence South 78° 47' 37" East 260.50 feet to a point of cusp <br />with a non-tangent curve concave easterly, having a radius of <br />43.00 feet, the radial to said curve at said point of cusp bears <br />South 55° 04' 52" West; thence northwesterly and northeasterly <br />along said curve through a central angle of 95° 03' 06" an arc <br />distance of 71.34 feet to a point of reverse curvature with a curve <br />concave northwesterly, having a radius of 13.00 feet; thence along <br />said reverse curve through a central angle of 60° 00' 00" an arc <br />distance of 13.61 feet to a point on a tangent line, said tangent <br />line being the East line of said Block "F"; thence South 00° 07' 58" <br />West, 98.54 feet to the southeast corner of said Block "F"; thence <br />South 89° 59' 25" West 300.35 feet along the South line of said <br />Block "F" to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />ALSO EXCEPTING all access rights to First Street from the lands <br />described above, <br /> <br />and place the same in the above-referenced escrow for delivery to <br />said grantee. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 18th day of September, 1967. <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
