RESOLUTION 67-188 APPROVING MAP, DECLARING INTENTION
<br />TO VACATE A PORTION OF ALTON STREET BETWR. F.N TALBERT
<br />AVENUE AND PACIFIC ELECTRIC RAILWAY RIGHT OF WAY,
<br />RESERVING EASEMENTS THEREIN FOR PUBLIC UTILITIES,
<br />AND GIVING NOTICE OF HEARING THEREON
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, a request for the vacation of that portion of Alton
<br />Street lying between Talbert Avenue and the Pacific Electric
<br />Railroad right of way, herein described, has been received by the
<br />City Council, and the Department of Public Works and the Planning
<br />Commission have recommended that a public hearing be set on the
<br />question of said vacation;
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby
<br />approves the map attached hereto and orders the same filed with the
<br />original of this Resolution in the office of the Clerk of the Council,
<br />and reference is hereby made to said map for the exterior boundaries
<br />of said right of way proposed to be vacated.

<br /> The city Council declares its intention to proceed under the
<br />provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 (Sections 8300 through
<br />8374 of the California Streets and Highways Code) to vacate that
<br />certain right of way known as Alton Street as it exists between
<br />Talbert Avenue and the Pacific Electric Railway right of way and
<br />RESERVING THEREIN easements for utility structures for the Pacific
<br />Telephone Company, the County Sanitation Districts of Orange County,
<br />and the City of Santa Ana. Said right of way proposed to be vacated
<br />lies in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California,
<br />and is described as:
<br />
<br />Ail that portion of Alton Street, formerly Talbert Avenue, in
<br />the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California,
<br />lying between the easterly prolongation of the North line of the
<br />land described in the deed to said City recorded October 22, 1962
<br />in Book 6292, Page 63, of Official Records, and the curved
<br />westerly line of the land described in the deed to Pacific
<br />Electric Railway Company, a corporation, recorded July 28, 1958,
<br />in Book 4364, Page 69, of Official Records.

<br />RESERVING an easement to construct, place, operate, inspect,
<br />maintain, repair, replace, and remove such aerial and underground
<br />telephone, telegraph, and communication structures as the Pacific
<br />Telephone Company may, from time to time require, consisting of
<br />poles, anchors, wires, cables, conduits, manholes, markers, and
<br />necessary fixtures and appurtenances over the northwesterly 5.00
<br />feet of that portion of Alton Street above-described.

<br />ALSO RESERVING THEREIN an easement for existing and proposed
<br />sewer facilities for use by the County Sanitation Districts of
<br />Orange County, California.
<br />
<br />ALSO RESERVING for the City of Santa Aha an easement for a potable
<br />water main over the southeasterly 10.00 feet of the northwesterly
<br />50.00 feet of that portion of Alton Street above-described.
<br />
<br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That December 18, 1967, at the hour
<br />of 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Third and Main
<br />Streets, Santa Ana, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place
<br />for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed
<br />street vacation.
