RESOLUTION 68-3 ACCEPTING DEEDS FOR THE WIDENING
<br />OF FIRST STREET FOR WHICH THE CITY IS PAYING A
<br />CASH CONSIDERATION
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, WILLIAM H. SAUNDERS, JR. and MARCIA E. SAUNDERS have
<br />executed a deed dated December 18, 1967, conveying to the City of
<br />Santa Ana a parcel of real property on the north side of First Street,
<br />west of Sycamore Street, in consideration of the sum of $36,566.00;
<br />said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 55352-C with
<br />Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana, California; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, LOIS KELLY has executed a deed dated December 13,
<br />1967, conveying to the City of Santa Aha an easement for street
<br />purposes at the southeast corner of First and Birch Streets in
<br />consideration of the sum of $540.00; said transaction is to be
<br />handled through Escrow No. 55393-C with Security Title Insurance
<br />Company, Santa Ana, California; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, MARY FRANCES LONG, also known as Mary F. Long, has
<br />executed a deed dated December 8, 1967, conveying to the City of
<br />Santa Ana easements for street purposes on the southeast corner of
<br />First Street and Broadway and on the southwest corner of First and
<br />Sycamore Streets in consideration of the sum of $1,945.00; said
<br />transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 55394-C with Security
<br />Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana, California; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, McLEAN MOTOR COMPANY, a corporation, has executed a
<br />deed dated December 8, 1967, conveying to the City of Santa Aha a
<br />parcel of real property on the north side of First Street, west of
<br />Bush Street, in consideration of the sum of $37,400.00; said
<br />transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 55388-C with Security
<br />Title Insurance Company, Santa Aha, California; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, CLEO NEAL SHARP, a widow, and CLARA HILL, a widow,
<br />have executed a deed dated December 22, 1967, conveying to the City
<br />of Santa Ana a parcel of real property on the north side of First
<br />Street, east of Shelton Street, in consideration of the sum of
<br />$14,250.00; said transaction is to be handled through Escrow
<br />No. 55399-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Aha,
<br />California; and
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
<br />authorized to sign the Escrow instructions; that the City of Santa
<br />Ana accepts said deeds, and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated
<br />agent, is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds.!
