RESOLUTION 68-11 CONSENTING TO DETACHMENT
<br />OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY FROM THE CITY OF
<br />SANTA ANA FOR THE PURPOSE OF PERMITTING
<br />THE SAME TO BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF
<br />ORANGE UNDER THE NAME OF "PROPOSED ANNEX-
<br />ATION TO THE CITY OF ORANGE NO. 244"
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana has
<br />received and filed a request that This Body adopt a resolution
<br />consenting to detachment of certain territory, the description of
<br />which has been filed with the Orange County Local Agency Formation
<br />Commission as "PROPOSED A!~NEX~TION TO THE CITY OF ORANGE NO. 244";
<br />and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, negotiations between the two cities and owners of
<br />property in said territory have resulted in agreement by all parties.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
<br />City of Santa Ana hereby consents to the detachment from the City
<br />of Santa Ana, for the purpose of allowing annexation to the City
<br />of Orange, that certain real property in the City of Santa Ana,
<br />County of Orange, State of California, described as :
<br />
<br />Beginning at a point on the north line of Lot 14 in Block
<br />D of the A. B. Chapman tract, as surveyed by Frank Lecouvreur
<br />in December 1870 and shown on a map thereof recorded in
<br />Book 102, page 15, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange
<br />County, California, said point being 30.00 feet westerly
<br />from the northeast corner of said Lot 14, said point being
<br />on the existing boundary of the City of Santa Ana as
<br />established by the Fairhaven and Cambridge Northwest Annex,
<br />Ordinance NS-588, said point being on the existing boundary
<br />of the City of Orange, as established by Annexation Number
<br />152, Ordinance Number 12-61; thence South 88° 58' 30" East
<br />along said city boundary of the City of Santa Ana as annexed
<br />by Ordinance NS-588 to the northwest corner of the Fairhaven
<br />and C~mbridge Southeast Annex, Ordinance NS-576, to the City
<br />of Santa Ana, a distance of 60.00 feet; thence continuing
<br />South 88° 58' 30" East along said boundary of the City of
<br />Santa Ana, and along said city boundary of the City of Orange
<br />as annexed by Annexation Number 152, a distance of 665.10
<br />feet, more or less, to a point of intersection with the
<br />northerly right of way line of the Garden Grove Freeway;
<br />thence departing from said city boundary of the City of
<br />Orange, Ordinance Number 12-61, and running South 84° 29' 01"
<br />West along said northerly right of way line of the Garden
<br />Grove Freeway, a distance of 44.03 feet, more or less; thence
<br />continuing along said northerly right of way line of the
<br />Garden Grove Freeway the following courses and distances;
<br />North 89° 00' 02" West, 175.10 feet; thence South 0° 59' 58"
<br />West, 20.00 feet, thence South 84° 29' 01" West, 24.17 feet;
<br />thence South 81° 09' 20" West, a distance of 443.08 feet to
<br />a point on the easterly line of Cambridge Street, said point
<br />being 40.00 feet easterly, measured at right angles, from the
<br />center line of Cambridge Street; thence South 60a 48' 50"
<br />West, a distance of 80.92 feet, to a point on a line that is
<br />parallel with and distant westerly, 30.00 feet, measured at
<br />right angles, from the center line of Cambridge Street; thence
<br />North 89° 04' 19" West at right angles to the center line of
<br />Cambridge Street, a distance of 10.00 feet; thence continuing
<br />along said northerly right of way line of the Garden Grove
<br />Freeway the following courses and distances; thence South
<br />73° 13' 24" West, 634.64 feet; thence South 78° 39' 08" West,
<br />16.19 feet; thence South 71° 12' 51" West, 272.18 feet;
<br />thence South 81° 17' 43" West, 287.81 feet; thence North
<br />89° 57' 16" West a distance of 126.03 feet, more or less, to
<br />a point on the westerly line of the easterly 5.50 feet of
<br />Lot 13 in Block D of said A. B. Chapman tract, and to the
<br />west boundary of the City of Santa Ana as established by said
<br />Ordinance NS-588; thence departing from said northerly right
