RESOLUTION 68-80 AUTHORIZING THE EXCHANGE OF PROPERTIES <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND CIPRIANA VIT.T~ <br />INVOLVING PROPERTY ON THE EAST SIDE OF LOGAN STREET, <br />NORTH OF FRUIT STREET, P~ESULTING IN A CASH CONSIDERATION <br />DUE TO CIPRIANA VILLA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, CIPRIANA VIT.T.A, also known as Cipriana Billa, has <br />executed a deed dated April 24, 1968, conveying to the City of Santa <br />Ana an easement for street purposes east of Logan Street, north of <br />Fruit Street, with a cash value of $2,000.00 in exchange for which <br />the City will convey to said CIPRIANA VlTJ~ other real property which <br />has been declared surplus and is contiguous to the real property <br />being conveyed to the City, which property has a cash value of <br />$1,500.00; the sale of this property was authorized by the City <br />Council on May 20th, 1968; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has agreed to pay to CIPRIANA <br />VIT.LA the difference in equity of the interests in real property <br />being exchanged hereby in the amount of $500.00; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, ROBERT G. BIT.TA, the husband of Cipriana villa, for <br />good and valuable consideration, has, by quitclaim deed, conveyed to <br />the City of Santa Ana all his right, title, and interest in and to <br />said easement conveyed by Cipriana Villa; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said transaction is to be handled through Escrow <br />Number 55607-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana, <br />California; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana <br />accepts said deed from CIPRIANA VILLA and quitclaim deed from ROBERT <br />G. BILLA granting to the City of Santa Ana the following described <br />property: <br /> <br />An easement for street purposes over that portion of Lot 10, <br />Block E of Hawkin's Addition to Santa Ana, in the City of Santa <br />Ana, as shown on a map recorded in Book 13, Page 26, of Miscel- <br />laneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, described as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Lot 10; thence Northerly <br />along the East line of said Lot 10, a distance of 30.12 feet; <br />thence Southwesterly, in a straight line, to a point on the South <br />line of said Lot 10 which is 64.58 feet Westerly from the Southeast <br />corner of said Lot 10; thence Easterly along the South line of said <br />Lot 10, a distance of 64.58 feet to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />Also hereby granting all vehicular access rights to the lands lying <br />Southeasterly of the Northwesterly line of the above described <br />property. <br /> <br />and Carl J. Thornton, the city's designated agent, is directed to <br />place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk of the <br />Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed for and <br />on behalf of the City of Santa Ana quitCla~ming to CIPRIANA VILLA <br />that certain real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, <br />State of California, described as: <br /> <br />That portion of Lot 11 in Block E of Hawkin's Addition to Santa Ana, <br />in the City of Santa Ana, as shown on a map thereof recorded in <br />Book 13, Page 26, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, <br />California, described as follows: <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
