RESOLUTION 68-85 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
<br />CITY OF SANTA ANA DECLARING WITHDRAWAL OF
<br />TERRITORY FROM THE TUSTIN LIGHTING DISTRICT
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, heretofore, on August 21, 1967, the City Council of
<br />the City of Santa Ana adopted Ordinance NS-891 declaring the annexa-
<br />tion of territory designated "TUSTIN AND FOURTH S.W. ANNEX NO. 1" to
<br />the City of Santa Ana, and said property has been within the limits
<br />of the City of Santa Ana for more than eight months, still remains
<br />within the Tustin Lighting District, is now subject to double taxation
<br />for the purpose of receiving street lighting service, and should be
<br />withdrawn from said Lighting District;
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That in accordance with
<br />Section 19290 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
<br />California, all that certain territory of the City of Santa Aha,
<br />County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
<br />
<br />Beginning at an angle point in the City boundary of the City of
<br />Santa Aha, california, as annexed by the Mabury Annex Number 1,
<br />NS 259, said point being at the intersection of a line that is
<br />parallel with and distant easterly, 30.00 feet, measured at right
<br />angles, from the center line of Tustin Avenue with a line that is
<br />parallel with and distant southerly, 30.00 feet, measured at
<br />right angles, from the center line of Fourth Street, as shown in
<br />the Mabury Tract, recorded in Book 165, Page 300, Deeds, Miscel-
<br />laneous Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence south
<br />89° 36' 45" west along said parallel line, south of the center line
<br />of Fourth Street, and along said City Boundary, 517.41 feet, to
<br />the east line of the west half of Lot 14 of said Mabury Tract and
<br />to an angle point in the City of Santa Ana boundary, as annexed
<br />by the First And Tustin Annex, NS 296; thence south 0° 16' 35" east
<br />along said east line of the west half of Lot 14 and along said
<br />City boundary, 270.00 feet, to an angle point in said City boundary
<br />and to a line that is parallel with and distant southerly, 300.00
<br />feet, from the center line of Fourth Street; thence North 89~ 36'
<br />45" east along said parallel line and along said City bDundary,
<br />236.94 feet, to an angle point in said City boundary; thence south
<br />0" 16' 35" east along said City boundary, 7.03 feet, to a point
<br />in said city boundary, said point lying in the north line of that
<br />certain parcel of land conveyed by J. F. Miller and wife to C. L.
<br />Cotant and Dixon W. Tubbs by deed recorded November 24, 1922 in
<br />Book 444, page 285 of Deeds; thence departing from said City boundary
<br />north 89° 31' 15" east along said north line of that certain parcel
<br />conveyed to C. L. Cotant and Dixon W. Tubbs and along the easterly
<br />extension of said north line, 280.62 feet, to a point in the City
<br />of Santa Ana boundary, as annexed by the Tustin and Fourth East
<br />Annex, NS 379, said point being distant southerly, 306.63 feet,
<br />from the center line of Fourth Street and distant easterly, 30.00
<br />feet, measured at right angles, from the center line of Tustin
<br />Avenue; thence North 0" 18' 25" West along said City boundary and
<br />along a line parallel with and.distant easterly, 30.00 feet, from
<br />said center line of Tustin Avenue 276.63 feet, more or less, to
<br />the point of beginning,

<br />be, and the same is hereby, withdrawn from the Tustin Lighting District
<br />and the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby declares the
<br />withdrawal of said territory from said District.

<br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
<br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of Jun~ 1968.
