Rogers and wife, filed April 24, 1944, <br />as Documents 11257 in the office of the Registrar of <br />Titles of said Orange County, and running thence <br />Southerly along said Northerly extension of Lot 1, and <br />along the Westerly lines of Lots 1 and 2 of said Tract <br />1228, 180 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 2 of said <br />Tract 1228; thence Westerly, parallel with the center <br />line of Seventeenth Street, as shown on the map of said <br />Tract 1228, 144.54 feet, more or less, to the Westerly <br />line of the land described in Parcel 1 in said deed to <br />Rogers; thence Northerly along said Westerly line, 180 <br />feet, more or less, to the Northerly line of the land <br />described in Parcel 1 in said deed to Rogers; thence <br />Easterly along said Northerly line 144.54 feet, more <br />or less, to the point of beginning; EXCEPTING THEREFROM <br />that portion previously dedicated for street purposes. <br /> <br />Lot 7 of the Bush Street Tract, in the City of Santa <br />Ana, County of Orange, State of California, as per map <br />recorded in Book 6, Page 35, of Miscellaneous Maps, in <br />the office of the County Recorder of said County. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: <br /> <br /> 1. That the City Attorney is hereby ordered to bring an <br />action in the name of the City of Santa Ana to condemn said property <br />necessary to be taken and to do all things necessary to prosecute <br />said action to final determination; <br /> <br /> 2. That the public interest, necessity, and convenience <br />require, and it is hereby ordered, that said City take immediate <br />possession and use of the property herein ordered to be acquired upon <br />compliance with the requirements of law applicable thereto as a <br />right of way for public use; <br /> <br /> 3. That said public improvement is planned and located in a <br />manner which will be most compatible with the greatest public good <br />and the least private injury. <br /> <br /> 4. That the City of Santa Ana, a municipal corporation, is <br />authorized and empowered to provide for the opening, extension, <br />widening, construction, and maintenance of public streets and high- <br />ways within the City; and <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br /> <br />
