RESOLUTION 68-103 ACCEPTING DEEDS FOR WHICH
<br />THE CITY IS PAYING A CASH CONSIDERATION
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, HARRY CHAN, also known as MOW, W-AH QUOCK, and ENNA CHAN,
<br />also known as MOW, LAMSHEE, husband and wife, have executed a deed dated
<br />April 24, 1968, conveying to the City of Santa Ana a parcel of real
<br />property on the north side of Seventeenth Street and the east side of
<br />Bush Street, for which the City is paying a cash consideration of
<br />$50,000; said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 463108-VH
<br />with Title Insurance and Trust Company, Santa Aha, California; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, WILLIAM J. SQUIER and RUTH B. SQUIER, husband and wife,
<br />have executed a deed dated June 18, 1968, conveying to the City of Santa
<br />Ana an easement for street purposes on the north side of Seventeenth
<br />Street and the west side of Olive, for which the City is paying a cash
<br />consideration of $9,035.00; said transaction is to be handled through
<br />Escrow No. 55713-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana,
<br />California, and in accordance with the terms of the agreement attached
<br />thereto; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, EUGENE B. SIVE and JOAN MARIE SIVE, husband and wife;
<br />and LOUIS J. CELLA, JR. and MARIAN CELIA, husband and wife, have
<br />executed a deed dated May 3, 1968, conveying to the City of Santa Ana
<br />an easement for street purposes on the south side of Seventeenth Street,
<br />west of Freeman, for which the City is paying a cash consideration of
<br />$16,915.00; said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 55719-C
<br />with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana, California, and in
<br />accordance with the terms of the agreement attached thereto; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, M P G RANCH, a partnership, has executed a deed dated
<br />December 22, 1967, conveying to the City of Santa Ana an easement for
<br />an underground potable water line on the west side of the Newport
<br />Freeway~ north of Warner Avenue, for which the City is paying a cash
<br />consideration of $63.00; said transaction is to be handled through
<br />Escrow No. 55423-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana,
<br />California;
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
<br />authorized to sign the Escrow instructions; that the City of Santa Ana
<br />accepts said deeds, and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent,
<br />is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds.

<br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
<br />at its regular meeting held on the 1st day of July, 1968.
