RESOLUTION 68-121 AUTHORIZING THE EXCHANGE <br />OF PROPERTIES BETWEEN THE CITY AND W. T. COX <br />COMPANY WHICH INVOLVES PROPERTY ON THE WEST <br />SIDE OF LINC0LNAVENUE, NORTH OF FRUIT STREET, <br />RESULTING IN A CASH CONSIDERATION OF $2,000 <br />DUE TO W. T. COX COMPANY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, W. T. COX COMPANY, a partnership composed of W. T. Cox <br />and Edwin W. Cox, partners, has executed a deed dated June 17, 1968, <br />conveying to the City of Santa Ana a triangular shaped parcel of real <br />property on the west side of Lincoln Avenue, approximately 150 feet <br />north of Fruit Street, for street purposes; and the City of Santa Ana <br />is willing to convey to the W. T. Cox Company a triangular shaped parcel <br />of land also on the west side of Lincoln, approximately 150 feet west <br />of Fruit Street, which said latter parcel has been declared surplus; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in addition to the conveyance by the City of Santa Ana <br />of said parcel of real property, the City has agreed to pay to W. T. Cox <br />Company the sum of $1,000.00 for improvements taken, together with the <br />sum of $1,000.00 for damages attendant upon the exchange of real <br />property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said transaction is to be handled through Escrow Number <br />55707-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana, California; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana <br />accepts said deed from W. T. COX COMPANY granting to the City of Santa <br />Ana the following described property: <br /> <br />That portion of Lot 13 in Block "E" of Hawkins Addition to Santa <br />Ana, in the County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a <br />map recorded in Book 13, page 26 of Miscellaneous Records of Los <br />Angeles County, California, lying Northwesterly of a line 52.00 <br />feet Southeasterly of, and parallel and concentric with the <br />following described line: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point in the center line of Grand Avenue North <br />0° 10' 11" West 556.68 feet from the intersection of said center <br />line with the center line of Fruit Street; thence South 89° 40' 19" <br />West 269.68 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave <br />Southerly and having a radius of 652.00 feet; thence Southwesterly <br />along said curve through a central angle of 25° 22' 18" an arc <br />distance of 288.718 feet; thence South 64° 18' 01" West 1421.66 feet. <br /> <br />and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent, is directed to place <br />his Certificate of Acceptance on said deed. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk of the <br />Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a grant deed for <br />and on behalf of the City of Santa kna granting to W. T.
