RESOLUTION 68-121 AUTHORIZING THE EXCHANGE OF PROPERTIES BETWEEN THE CITY AND W. T. COX COMPANY WHICH INVOLVES PROPERTY ON THE WEST SIDE OF LINC0LNAVENUE, NORTH OF FRUIT STREET, RESULTING IN A CASH CONSIDERATION OF $2,000 DUE TO W. T. COX COMPANY WHEREAS, W. T. COX COMPANY, a partnership composed of W. T. Cox and Edwin W. Cox, partners, has executed a deed dated June 17, 1968, conveying to the City of Santa Ana a triangular shaped parcel of real property on the west side of Lincoln Avenue, approximately 150 feet north of Fruit Street, for street purposes; and the City of Santa Ana is willing to convey to the W. T. Cox Company a triangular shaped parcel of land also on the west side of Lincoln, approximately 150 feet west of Fruit Street, which said latter parcel has been declared surplus; and WHEREAS, in addition to the conveyance by the City of Santa Ana of said parcel of real property, the City has agreed to pay to W. T. Cox Company the sum of $1,000.00 for improvements taken, together with the sum of $1,000.00 for damages attendant upon the exchange of real property; and WHEREAS, said transaction is to be handled through Escrow Number 55707-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana, California; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana accepts said deed from W. T. COX COMPANY granting to the City of Santa Ana the following described property: That portion of Lot 13 in Block "E" of Hawkins Addition to Santa Ana, in the County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map recorded in Book 13, page 26 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, lying Northwesterly of a line 52.00 feet Southeasterly of, and parallel and concentric with the following described line: Beginning at a point in the center line of Grand Avenue North 0° 10' 11" West 556.68 feet from the intersection of said center line with the center line of Fruit Street; thence South 89° 40' 19" West 269.68 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Southerly and having a radius of 652.00 feet; thence Southwesterly along said curve through a central angle of 25° 22' 18" an arc distance of 288.718 feet; thence South 64° 18' 01" West 1421.66 feet. and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent, is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a grant deed for and on behalf of the City of Santa kna granting to W. T. COX COMPANY that certain real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: That portion of Lot 12 in Block "E" of Hawkins Addition to Santa Ana, in the County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map recorded in book 13, page 26 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, lying Southeasterly of a line 52.00 feet Southeasterly of, and parallel and concentric with the following described line: Beginning at a point in the center line of Grand Avenue North 0° 10' 11" West 556.68 feet from the intersection of said center line with the center line of Fruit Street; thence South 89° 40' 19" West 269.68 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Southerly and having a radius of 652.00 feet; thence Southwesterly
