RESOLUTION 68-132 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />QUITCLAIM DEEDS TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON <br />COMPANY AND KWIK-~_RC~P~EALTYWITH NO CASH <br />CONSIDERATION <br /> <br /> WHEP~EAS, SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY, a corporation, <br />has quitclaimed to the City vehicle access rights previously granted <br />on Grand Avenue, south of McFadden Avenue, and has requested vehicle <br />access rights to Grand Avenue at a different location in the same <br />area, which the City has determined should be granted; and <br /> <br /> W/~EREAS, the owners of certain property on the south side of <br />Seventeenth Street, west of Century Boulevard, have requested access <br />rights to Seventeenth Street, which the City has determined should <br />be granted; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk <br />of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed <br />quitclaiming to SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY, a corporation, <br />all vehicular access rights over that portion of the real property <br />in the County of Orange, State of California, described and designated <br />as Parcel 1 in the Easement for Road Purposes from Southern California <br />Edison Company to the City of Santa Ana, dated August 21, 1962 and <br />recorded as Instrument No. 4111 in Book 6242, Page 33 of Official <br />Records, in the office of the County Recorder of said County, <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />A strip of land, 36.00 feet wide, the center line of <br />said strip of land is described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point in the Easterly line of said Parcel 1, <br />said point being Northerly 90.27 feet, measured along said <br />Easterly line, from the Southeast corner of said Parcel 1; <br />thence Westerly, at right angles to said Easterly line, <br />8.00 feet, <br /> <br />and deliver the same to Southern California Edison Company, 601 West <br />Eighth Street, Santa Ana, California 92701; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk of the <br />Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed quit- <br />claiming to KWIK-CHECK REALTY COMPANY, INC., a Nevada Corporation, <br />the following described real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California: <br /> <br />Vehicular access rights to Westminster Avenue over the <br />Easterly 40.00 feet of the Westerly 70.00 feet, the Easterly <br />40.00 feet of the Westerly 532.96 feet from that portion of <br />the Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 9, <br />Township 5 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho Las Bolsas, <br />in the city of Santa Ana, as shown on a map thereof recorded <br />in Book 51, Page 12, Miscellaneous Maps, records of said <br />Orange County, described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Northeast quarter <br />of the Northeast quarter; thence South 12.50 chains; thence <br />East 8 chains; thence North 12.50 chains; thence West 8 <br />chains to the point of beginning, <br /> <br />and deliver the same to Kwik-Check Realty Company, Inc. 2828 North <br />Haskell Avenue, Dallas,Texas. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day ~f Se.p~68. <br /> <br /> -' '~ '' MAYOR -- <br /> <br /> F THE COUNCIl. -1- <br /> <br /> <br />
