RESOLUTION 68-137 APPROVING MAP, DECLARING INTENTION <br />TO VACATE A PORTION OF ST.GERT~UDE PLACE BETWEEN <br />STANDARD AVENUE AND THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD <br />AND GIVING NOTICE OF HEARING THEREON <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a request for the vacation of that portion of <br />St. Gertrude Place lying between Standard Avenue and the Southern <br />Pacific Railroad has been received by the City Council, and the <br />Department of Public Works and the Planning Commission have <br />recommended that a public hearing be set on the question of said <br />vacation; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT P~ESOLVED: That the City Council <br />hereby approves the map attached hereto and orders the same filed <br />with the original of this Resolution in the office of the Clerk of <br />the Council, and reference is hereby made to said map for the <br />exterior boundaries of said right of way proposed to be vacated. <br /> <br /> The City Council declares its intention to proceed under the <br />provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 (Sections 8300 through <br />8374 of the California Streets and Highways Code) to vacate that <br />certain portion of St. Gertrude Place lying between Standard Avenue <br />and the Southern Pacific Railroad in the city of Santa Ana, County <br />of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />That portion of the South 5.00 feet of St. Gertrude Place <br />(70.00 feet wide), as shown on a map of Tract 696, recorded <br />in Book 20, Pages 45 and 46 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the <br />office of the County Recorder, County of Orange, State of <br />California, bounded Easterly by the Northerly prolongation of <br />the East line of Block E in said Tract 696 and bounded <br />Westerly by the Northerly prolongation of the West line of the <br />East 173.00 feet of said Block E. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That October 7, 1968, at the hour of <br />7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Third and Main Streets, <br />Santa Ana, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for <br />hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed street <br />vacation. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Clerk of the Council of the <br />City of Santa Aha is hereby ordered to publish this Kesolution one <br />time in the Register, and the Director of Public Works is ordered to <br />post notices of street vacation conspicuously along the line of said <br />street, stating the passage of this Resolution of Intention to vacate <br />and the ~me and the place of hearing thereon. Said notices shall be <br />posted not more than 300 feet apart and at least three (3) such <br />notices shall be posted. Both publication and posting shall be <br />completed at least ten (10) days before the date of hearing. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the city Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 16th day of September, 1968. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
