RESOLUTION 68-145 OVERRULING THE DECISION OF THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION AND GRANTING APPEAL 215 ON <br />VARIANCE APPLICATION 68-77 FILED BY LORIN GRISET <br />SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE CONDITIONS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after public hearing on notice, the Planning <br />Commission granted a variance on Variance Application 68-77, filed <br />by LORIN GRISET, to permit storage and distribution of laundry <br />supplies in an R-3 District at 620 East Sixth Street, Santa A/~a, <br />California; said variance was granted subject to certain conditions; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Appeal Application No. 215 was duly filed by the <br />applicant appealing the conditions imposed by the Planning Commission <br />and presenting the matter to the City Council; and <br /> <br /> W~EREA~, the City Council, after public hearing on notice, <br />has determined that said variance meets the requirements of <br />Section 9250.8 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, but that the <br />conditions numbered 8 and 10, imposed by the Planning Commission, <br />should be deleted and that conditions 4, 7, and 9 should be a~ended; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana does hereby grant a variance on Variance Applica- <br />tion 68-77, filed by LORIN GRISET, to permit the storage and distri- <br />bution of laundry supplies in an R-3 District at 620 East Sixth <br />Street, Santa Ana, California, subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />That the development be according to the approved plot plan <br /> except for minor modifications approved by the Planning <br /> Department. <br /> <br />That only similar uses (storage, distribution, etc.) be permitted <br /> on the site at a later date without additional variance <br /> approvals. <br /> <br />That all activities, except deliveries and the offstreet parking <br /> of automobiles and trucks, shall be conducted entirely within <br /> the existing building. <br /> <br />4. That only two signs of 50 square feet be permitted on the building <br /> pertaining only to the business conducted on the premises. <br /> <br />That the owner replace the temporary asphalt concrete in the <br /> sidewalk area with standard portland cement concrete sidewalk <br /> to City Standards. <br /> <br />6. That no washer extractors or any laundry equipment be used on <br /> the premises. <br /> <br />7. That the hours of operation be limited to 6:30 A.M. to 9:00 P.M., <br /> Monday through Saturday, for the present use. <br /> <br />That no more commercial vehicles than can be stored on site be <br /> kept on the premises. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of October, 1968. <br /> <br />ATTE S T: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
