RESOLUTION 68-151 ACCEPTING DEEDS FOR WHICH THE
<br />CITY IS PAYING NO CASH CONSIDER3~TION
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, UNION OIL COMPANY OF CALIFORNIA, a corporation,
<br />has executed a deed dated August 19, 1968, conveying to the City
<br />an easement for drainage purposes at the northwest corner of
<br />Edinger Avenue and Trotter Avenue; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, EDWARD J. POWER, Trustee, under that Declaration
<br />of Trust established by Edward J. Power and Ruth Visel Power, as
<br />Trustors under date of April 26, 1962, has executed a deed dated
<br />September 25, 1968, conveying to the City of Santa Ana an easement
<br />for street purposes at the southwest corner of Main Street and
<br />Anahurst Place; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, INTERSTATE BAKERIES CORPORATION, a Delaware
<br />corporation, has executed a deed dated September 12, 1968, conveying
<br />to the City of Santa Ana easements for street purposes on the
<br />west side of Main Street, north of Roe Drive; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, THE TUSTIN COMPANY, a corporation, has executed a
<br />deed dated September 9, 1968, conveying to the City of Santa Ana
<br />easements for street and public utility purposes and an easement
<br />for potable water, storm drain and sanitary sewer purposes at
<br />Village Way and Wilshire Avenue, south of McFadden Avenue; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, E. O. RODEFFER and PHYLLIS M. RODEFFER have executed
<br />three deeds dated September 23, 1968, conveying to the City of
<br />Santa Aha easements for street and public utility purposes on the
<br />northwest side of Alton Avenue, east of Newport Freeway, on the
<br />southwest side of Deere Avenue, east of Newport Freeway, and for
<br />Daimler Street, from Deere Avenue to Alton Avenue; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, BONANZA INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, a Nevada
<br />corporation, has executed a deed dated September 16, 1968, conveying
<br />to the City of Santa Ana vehicular access rights to the south side
<br />of Seventeenth Street, 90 feet east of Rosewood Avenue; and
<br />
<br /> W~EREAS, LORENE E. MARSHALL and MARGARET KINDERMANhave
<br />executed a deed dated October 1, 1968, conveying to the City of
<br />Santa Ana an easement for street purposes on the north side of
<br />Washington Avenue, east of English Street; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, EDWARD Jo FRANZEN, STELLA E. FRANZEN, JOHN A. STEELE,
<br />and MABEL D. STEELE have executed a deed dated September 30, 1968,
<br />conveying to the City of Santa Ana an easement for street purposes
<br />for Franzen Avenue east of Tustin Avenue, north of Santa Clara
<br />Avenue; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, JOHN A. STEELE and MABEL D. STEELE have executed a
<br />deed dated September 30, 1968, conveying to the City of Santa Ana
<br />an easement for drainage purposes east of Tustin Avenue, south of
<br />Fran~en Avenue; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, all of said deeds are without cash consideration
<br />being paid to said grantors;
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana
<br />accepts said deeds, and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated
<br />agent, is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said
<br />deeds.
