RESOLUTION 69-10 APPROVING MAP AND DECLARING
<br />INTENTION TO VACATE STREETS IN THE CIVIC CENTER
<br />A~EA BETWEEN FLOWER AND ROSS STREETS NORTH OF
<br />FOURTH STREET, RESERVING EASEMENTS THEREIN FOR
<br />PUBLIC UTILITIES, AND GIVING NOTICE OF HEARING
<br />THEREON
<br />
<br /> W}{EREAS, the Director of Public Works and the Planning
<br />Commission have recommended abandonment proceedings of the public
<br />rights of way located within the Civic Center area and described
<br />herein and have recommended that a public hearing be set on the
<br />matter of said abandonment;
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council
<br />hereby approves the map attached hereto and orders the same filed
<br />with the original of this Resolution in the office of the Clerk of
<br />the Council, and reference is hereby made to said map for the
<br />exterior boundaries of said rights of way proposed to be vacated.

<br /> The City Council declares its intention to proceed under the
<br />provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 (Sections 8300 through
<br />8374 of the California Streets and Highways Code) to vacate those
<br />certain portions of Sixth Street, Fifth Street, Fourth Street,
<br />Garnsey Street, Parton Street, and VanNess Avenue lying between
<br />Flower and Ross Streets, North of Fourth Street, and RESERVING
<br />THEREIN an easement for water main purposes and easements for utility
<br />structures for the Pacific Telephone Company. Said rights of way
<br />proposed to be vacated lie in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange,
<br />State of California, and are described as follows:

<br />SIXTH STREET, GARNSEY STREET TO ROSS STREET:
<br />
<br />That portion of Sixth Street as shown in the Ross Addition to
<br />Santa Aha, City of Santa Ana, as shown on a map thereof recorded
<br />in Book 3, Pages 534 and 535, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
<br />County, California, bounded Westerly by the West line of Garnsey
<br />Street as shown in said Ross Addition to Santa Ana, and bounded
<br />Easterly by a line parallel and 53.00 feet Westerly, measured at
<br />right angles, from the center line of Ross Street as shown in
<br />said Ross Addition to Santa Ana.

<br />RESERVING an easement for potable water main purposes over a strip
<br />of land 15.00 feet in width, the center line of which is 17.50 feet
<br />Northerly from the center line of said Sixth Street.
<br />
<br />ALSO PdESERVING an easement and right of way, 20.00 feet in width,
<br />the center line of which is 20.00 feet Southerly from the center
<br />line of said Sixth Street, to construct, place, operate, inspect,
<br />maintain, repair, replace, and remove such aerial and underground
<br />telephone, telegraph and communication structures as the Pacific
<br />Telephone Company may, from time to time, require, consisting of
<br />poles, anchors, wires, cables, conduits, manholes, markers, and
<br />necessary fixtures and appurtenances.

<br />FIFTH STREETt FLOWER STREET TO ROSS STBRRT:

<br />That portion of Fifth Street as shown in the Ross Addition to
<br />Santa Ana, City of Santa Ana, as shown on a map thereof recorded
<br />in Book 3, Pages 534 and 535, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
<br />County, California, bounded Westerly by a line parallel and 53.00
<br />feet Easterly, measured at right angles, from the center line of
<br />Flower Street, formerly Orange Street as shown on said Ross
<br />Addition to Santa Ana, and bounded Easterly by a line that is con-
<br />centric or parallel and 54.00 feet Northerly and Westerly,
<br />measured at right angles, from the following described center line:
