RESOLUTION 69-12 AUTHORIZING AN EXCHANGE OF <br />PROPERTIES BETWEEN THE CITY AND JOHN R. AND <br />JO ANN HAYES INVOLVING PROPERTY EAST OF LOGAN <br />STREET AND NORTH OF FRUIT STREET RESULTING IN <br />A CASH CONSIDERATION OF $21,000 DUE TO JOHN R. <br />AND JO ANN HAYES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, JOHN R. HAYES and JO ANN HAYES, husband and wife, have <br />executed a deed dated January 15, 1969, conveying to the City of Santa <br />Ana real property on the east side of Logan Street north of Fruit Street, <br />and a temporary easement to be used in conjunction with the demolition <br />of existing improvements, together with all vehicular access rights to <br />the lands lying northwesterly of the southeasterly line of said property, <br />for a cash consideration of $21,500; in exchange for which the City will <br />convey to the said John R. Hayes and Jo Ann Hayes, husband and wife as <br />joint tenants, other real property which has been declared surplus and <br />is adjacent to the real property being conveyed to the City, which <br />adjacent property has a cash value of $500; the sale of this property <br />was authorized by the City Council on January 20, 1969; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has agreed to pay to John R. <br />and Jo Ann Hayes the difference in equity of the interest in real <br />property being exchanged hereby in the amount of $21,000; and <br /> <br />Hayes <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said transaction is to be handled through Escrow <br />Number 56055-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana, <br />California. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana <br />accepts said deed from John R. Hayes and Jo Ann Hayes granting to the <br />City of S~nta Ana the following described property: <br /> <br />PARCEL 1: <br /> <br />That portion of Lot 15, Block E, Hawkin's Addition to Santa Ana, <br />in the city of Santa Ana, as shown on a map recorded in Book 13, <br />page 26, of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Lot 15; thence Southerly <br />along the West line of said Lot 15 a distance of 42.99 feet; thence <br />Northeasterly in a straight line to a point on the North line of <br />said Lot 15 which is 92.18 feet Easterly from said Northwest corner; <br />thence Westerly along the North line of said Lot 15 a distance of <br />92.18 feet to the point of beginning; including all vehicular access <br />rights to the lands lying Northwesterly of the Southeasterly line <br />of the above-described property. <br /> <br />PARCEL 2: <br /> <br />A temporary easement to be used in conjunction with the demolition <br />of existing improvements over the following described property: <br /> <br />That portion of Lot 15, Block E, Hawkin's Addition to Santa Ana, <br />in the City of Santa Ana, as shown on a map recorded in Book 13, <br />page 26, of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point on the West line of said Lot 15 distant <br />Southerly 42.99 feet from the Northwest corner of said Lot 15; <br />thence Northeasterly in a straight line to a point on the North <br />line of said Lot 15 which is 92.18 feet Easterly from said North- <br />west corner; thence Easterly a distance of 32.82 feet to the <br />Northeast corner of said Lot 15; thence Southerly a distance of <br />50.00 feet; thence Westerly a distance of 125.00 feet; thence <br />Northerly along the West line of said Lot 15 a distance of 7.01 <br />feet to the point of beginning; <br /> <br /> <br />
