RESOLUTION 69-18 OVERRULING THE DECISION OF THE <br />ZONING ADMINISTRATOR AND GRANTING A VARIANCE ON <br />VARIANCE APPLICATION VA 68-122 FILED BY CARTER <br />SIGN COMPANY, SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE CONDITIONS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after public hearing on notice, the Zoning Administra- <br />tor DENIED a variance on Variance Application 68-122, filed by the <br />CARTER SIGN COMPANY requesting a waiver of landscaping requirements <br />in construction of an advertising sign which exceeds 35 feet in height <br />located at 3737 South Main Street, Santa Ana, California, in a C-2 <br />District; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Appeal Application 218 was filed by the applicant, <br />appealing the decision of the Zoning Administrator and presenting <br />the matter to the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, after public hearing on notice, <br />has determined that said Variance Application meets the requirements <br />of Section 9250.8 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code and that said <br />Variance should be granted subject to Certain conditions; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEP~EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana does hereby overrule the decision of the Zoning <br />Administrator and does hereby grant a variance on Variance Application <br />VA 68-122, filed by CARTER SIGN COMPANY to permit the waiver of <br />landscaping requirements in the construction of an advertising sign <br />which exceeds 35 feet in height at 3737 South Main Street, Santa Ana, <br />California, in a C-2 District; said Variance is granted subject to <br />the following conditions: <br /> <br />That the construction of the sign be in accordance with the <br /> approved plot plan, except for minor modifications to be <br /> approved by the Planning Department; <br /> <br />That all applicable provisions of the Zoning Ordinance be <br /> adhered to, except for the required 15-foot landscaped <br /> strip. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br /> <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on <br />ATTE S T: <br /> <br /> THE/OU CI , <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br /> I, MAXINE VALLERY, do hereby certify that I am the ~ <br />Clerk of the Council of the City of Santa Ana; that the foregoing <br />Resolution was introduced to said Council at its regular meeting held <br />on the 3rd day of February, 1969, and was at said meeting passed and <br />adopted by the following vote, to wit: <br /> <br />AYES, <br /> <br />COUNCILMEN: Herrin, Brooks, Carlson~ Griset, Thurman, <br /> McMichael <br /> <br />NOE S, <br /> <br />COUNCILMEN: Marke 1 <br /> <br />ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: None <br /> <br />CLERK OF TH~OUNCIL <br /> <br /> <br />
