RESOLUTION 69-20 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE TO PERMIT THE COUNTY CLERK OF SAID <br />COUNTY TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES TO THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF A GENERAL <br />MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON <br />APRIL 1, 1969 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election is to be held in the <br />City of Santa Ana on April 1, 1969; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of said election and in <br />relation thereto it will be necessary to mail sample ballots and <br />polling place inserts to the registered voters of the City, and <br />it will facilitate such mailing if the County Clerk of the County <br />of Orange will prepare and furnish the City the imprinting of the <br />names and addresses of the registered voters of said City on I.B.M. <br />polling place inserts furnished by the City, and, after bursting the <br />forms, will insert the polling place insert, sample ballot, arguments, <br />and statements of qualifications, if any, into envelopes, all to be <br />furnished by the city; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing this service <br />shall be paid by the City of Santa Ana; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA: That pursuant to the provisions of Section 22003 <br />of the Elections Code of the State of California, this City Council <br />hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of said County to permit <br />the County Clerk to prepare and furnish to said City for use in <br />conducting said election to be held on April 1, 1969, the imprinting <br />of the names and addresses of the registered voters of said City on <br />I.B.M. polling place inserts furnished by the City and after bursting <br />the forms to insert the polling place insert sample ballots, arguments, <br />and statements of qualifications, if any, into envelopes, all to be <br />furnished by the City. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said City shall reimburse said <br />County for services performed when the work is completed and upon <br />presentation to the City of a properly approved bill. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Clerk of the Council is <br />hereby directed to forward without delay a certified copy of this <br />Resolution to said Board of Supervisors and to said County Clerk. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by <br />Aha at its regular meeting held on <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~ ~LERK OF THE C~O~CIL <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) SS <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />the City Council of the City of Santa <br /> the 3rd day/gl Feb~r~.~ <br /> <br /> I, MAXINE VAL~RY, do hereby certify that I ~ the ~ <br />Clerk of the Council of the City of Santa ~a; that the foregoing <br />Resolution was introduced to said Council at its regular meeting held <br />on the 3rd day of February, 1969, and was at said meeting passed and <br />adopted by the following vote, to wit: <br /> <br /> A~S, CO~CILMEN: Herrin~ ~ooks, Carlson, Griset~ Mar~l, <br /> Thu~an, Mc~chael <br /> NOES, COUNCILMEN: None <br /> <br /> <br />
