RESOLUTION 69-26 AFFIRMING THE DECISION OF THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION AND GRANTING VARIANCE <br />APPLICATION 68-106 FILED BY ARTHUR AXELROD AND <br />RONALD STONE, SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE CONDITIONS <br /> <br /> W%qEREAS, after public hearing on notice, the Planning <br />Commission granted a variance on Variance Application 68-106, <br />filed by ARTHUR AXELROD and RONALD STONE, to permit an automobile <br />salvage yard in conjunction with an existing automobile wrecking <br />yard located on adjacent property, said salvage yard to be located <br />at 1900 West Fifth Street, Santa Ana, California, in an M-1 District; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Appeal Application No. 219 was filed by MRS. RAYMOND <br />HERNANDEZ, appealing the decision of the Planning Commission and <br />presenting the matter to the city Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, after public hearing on notice, <br />has determined that said Variance meets the requirements of <br />Section 9250.8 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code and that said <br />Variance should be granted, subject to certain conditions; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana does hereby affirm the decision of the Planning <br />Commission and does hereby grant a Variance on Variance Application <br />No. 68-106, filed by ARTHUR AXELROD and RON~T~ STONE to permit an <br />automobile salvage yard in conjunction with an existing automobile <br />wrecking yard located on adjacent property, said salvage yard to be <br />located at 1900 West Fifth Street, Santa Ana, California, in an <br />M-1 District; said Variance is granted subject to the following <br />conditions: <br /> <br />That the development be according to the approved plan, except <br /> for minor modifications to be approved by the Planning <br /> Department; <br /> <br />That no salvage material be piled to a height exceeding that of <br /> the fence or wall surrounding the existing and proposed <br /> wrecking yard; <br /> <br />3. That a parcel map be filed and processed according to requirements <br /> of the Subdivision regulations; <br /> <br />4. That no storage of parts or vehicles be permitted in the off- <br /> street parking area or public right of way; and <br /> <br />That all fences surrounding the subject property be no less than <br /> eight (8) feet in height and be constructed of material to be <br /> approved by the Planning Department. Said material shall be such <br /> ~hatitis capable of retaining its original characteristics with- <br /> out upkeep for a period of ten years. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 17th day of February, 1969. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCI~ <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
