RESOLUTION 69-39 ENCOURAGING IMPROVEMENT OF AIRLINE <br />SERVICE IN ORANGE COUNTY BY PROVIDING AIRLINE ROUTES <br />FROM ORANGE COUNTY TO SEATTLE, WASHINGTON AND <br />PORTLAND, OREGON <br /> <br /> WHER]EAS, it is in the best interest of the people of the <br />City of Santa Ana, california, to improve air service; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there is now pending before the Civil Aeronautics <br />Board an action to improve air service between Southern California <br />and the Pacific Northwest cities of Seattle, Washington, and <br />Portland, Oregon; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the present time there is no service offered <br />between Orange County and the cities of Seattle and Portland; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana that the Civil Aeronautics Board is hereby urged <br />and requested to provide airline routes between Orange County and <br />Seattle and Portland; and <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: ~hat a copy of this Resolution be <br />forwarded to the Civil Aeronautics Board. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of March, 1969. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNC~ <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br /> I, MAXINE VALLERY, do hereby certify that I am the Clerk of <br />the Council of the City of Santa Ana; that the foregoing Resolution <br />was introduced to said Council at its regular meeting held on the <br />3rd day of March, 1969, and was at said meeting passed and adopted <br />by the following vote, to wit: <br /> <br />AYES, COUNCILMEN: <br />NOES, COUNCILMEN: Markel <br />ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: None <br /> <br />Herrin, Brooks, Carlson, Griset, Thurman, <br /> McMichael <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE C~CIL <br /> <br /> <br />
