RESOLUTION 69-48 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION <br />OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "WAKEHAM AVENUE <br />ANNEX" TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange <br />County has approved a description of territory hereinbelow <br />contained and annexation of said territory to the city of Santa <br />Ana, california; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, written consent has been obtained from the involved <br />districts to the transfer of said territory from the Newport-Mesa <br />Unified School District and Orange Coast Junior college District to <br />the Santa Ana Unified School District and the Santa Ana Junior <br />College District; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with the requirements of Government <br />Code Section 54797.1, the Local Agency Formation Commission of <br />Orange County has approved the within annexation and has authorized <br />the city Council of the city of Santa Ana, California, to annex <br />said territory without notice and hearing by the city Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana, california, hereby finds and declares that <br />said territory was uninhabited at the time of the adoption of this <br />Resolution, and is contiguous to the city of Santa Ana; that all of <br />the statements hereinabove are true and correct; and that said <br />territory shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the city <br />existing at the time of this annexation; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the annexed territory shall <br />become a part of the Santa Ana Unified School District and the <br />Santa Ana Junior college District; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That all of the territory in the <br />County of Orange, State of california, described as: <br /> <br />Beginning at an angle point in the boundary of South <br />Santa Ana Annex Number 5 as annexed to the City of <br />Santa Ana by Ordinance NS-450, said angle point being <br />the intersection of the West line of Fairview Road <br />(formerly Old Newport Road, 60.00 feet wide) with a <br />line parallel with and 25.00 feet North, measured at <br />right angles, from the center line of Sunflower Avenue <br />(formerly Wakeham Avenue, 60.00 feet wide); thence <br />South 0~ 17' 30" East along said West line of Fairview <br />Road and along said city of Santa Ana boundary a <br />distance of 25.00 feet to its point of intersection <br />with the Westerly extension of the center line of <br />said Sunflower Avenue; thence North 88° 59' 30" East <br />departing from said City of Santa Ana boundary along <br />said center line of Sunflower Avenue a distance of <br />812.86 feet; thence North 75° 24' 04" East 46.30 feet <br />to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Southeast- <br />erly, and having a radius of 1040.00 feet; thence <br />Northeasterly along said curve through a central angle <br />of 3° 50' 51" an arc distance of 69.84 feet to a point <br />on a parallel line which is 25.00 feet North, measured <br />at right angles, from the center line of said Sunflower <br />Avenue, and to the Southerly boundary of said South <br />Santa Ana Annex Number 5 to the City of Santa Ana; <br />thence South 88° 59' 30" West along said boundary of <br />the City of Santa Ana and along said parallel line and <br />its Westerly extension to the West line of said Fairview <br />Road, a distance of 925.88 feet, to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
