RESOLUTION 69-68 OPPOSING THE FORMATION OF <br />AN AIRPORT LAND USE COMMISSION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Division of the League of <br />california Cities has recommended that pursuant to the authority <br />granted by Section 21670 of the Public utilities Code an Airport <br />Land Use Commission be created, into which the function of the <br />existing Airport Commission be merged; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana feels <br />that such action would not benefit the citizens of Santa Ana, but <br />would, in fact, dilute its representation in matters with which <br />such commission would deal; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the city Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana is of the opinion that adequate provision <br />exists for a continuing review of land use surrounding airports <br />through the instrumentality of the Airport Commission; and that <br />therefore it opposes the creation of an Airport Land Use Commission <br />contemplated by Section 21670 of the Public Utilities Code. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of May, 1969. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br /> I, FLORENCE I.
