RESOLUTION 69-72 OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />OFFERING TO PURCHASE FIVE PARCELS OF TAX <br />DEEDED PROPERTY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Tax collector of Orange County, California, is <br />about to sell certain real property located within the City of <br />Santa Ana, a municipal corporation, which said real property is <br />needed by the City of Santa Ana for street and drainage purposes, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Santa Ana is a taxing agency, the taxes <br />of which City are collected by the County of Orange through the <br />offices of the County Tax collector, and unpaid taxes resulting in <br />the tax sales of the properties herein specifically referred to has <br />resulted in part from taxes levied by said City on said specific <br />parcels of real property; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana objects to the proposed sale of said specific <br />parcels of real property for the reasDn that said parcels are needed <br />by the City of Santa Ana for street and drainage purposes and should <br />not be sold to private ownership; that a sale to private ownership <br />would require said city to proceed by an action in eminent domain <br />to acquire said property for street~and drainage purposes; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk of <br />the Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute the <br />Agreement entered into between the City and the Board of Super- <br />visors of the County of Orange for the purchase of said parcel <br />of real property by the City of Santa Ana; a copy of said <br />Agreement is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the city of Santa Ana agrees <br />to pay the price shown on Exhibit A of said Agreement and set <br />opposite the description of the parcel of real property and to <br />pay the cost of giving notice of said Agreement as provided for <br />in Section 3800 of the california Revenue and Taxation Code. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the city of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 19th day of May, 1969. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLEP~K OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />VICE- MAYOR <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) SS <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br /> I, FLORENCE I.
