RESOLUTION 69-88 AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION OF <br />PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY NEAR THE INTERSECTION <br />OF ORANGE ROAD AND WESTWOOD STREET FOR PAP~K <br />PURPOSES <br /> <br /> W/qEREAS, the Santa Ana General Plan Program recommends the <br />acquisition and development of a six-acre park by 1970-71 near the <br />intersection of Orange Road and Westwood Street, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the parcel hereinafter described is the only one <br />in the area suitable for Said purpose; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana does hereby find and declare that the public <br />interest and necessity require the acquisition of fee title in and <br />to the real property hereinbelow described: <br /> <br />That portion of the North one-half of Lot 13, Potts, <br />Borden and Sidwell Tract, as per map recorded in Book 4, <br />Page 624 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, <br />California, described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the Southwest corner of the North one-half <br />of said Lot 13; thence North 0° 01' 57" East 397.79 <br />feet; thence South 89° 53' 46" East 530.50 feet; thence <br />South 0° 12' 17" East 237.06 feet to a tangent curve <br />concave Northwesterly and having a radius of 200.00 feet; <br />thence Southwesterly along said curve through a central <br />angle of 23° 50' 15", an arc distance of 83.21 feet, to <br />a tangent curve concave Southeasterly and having a radius <br />of 200.00 feet; thence Southwesterly along said curve <br />through a central angle of 23° 31' 37", an arc distance <br />of 82.12 feet, to a non-tangent line; thence North 89° 53' <br />West 498.06 feet to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />34" <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: <br /> <br /> 1. That the City Attorney is hereby ordered to bring an <br />action in the name of the city to condemn said property necessary <br />to be taken and to do all things necessary to prosecute said <br />action to final determination; <br /> <br /> 2. That said public improvement is planned and located in <br />a manner which will be most compatible with the greatest public <br />good and the least private injury; <br /> <br /> 3. That the City of Santa Ana is authorized and empowered <br />to acquire, develop, maintain, and operate public parks within and <br />without the City; <br /> <br /> 4.
