RESOLUTION 69-92 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA EXPRESSING OPPOSITION TO ANY <br />STATE LEGISLATION CURTAILING THE EXISTING <br />CONCEPT OF HOME RULE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, numerous bills are now pending before the State <br />Legislature which, if passed, would seriously affect the "Home <br />Rule" concept of California local government; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the belief of the city Council of the City <br />of Santa Aha and of the citizens of the community which they <br />represent that the concept of "Home Rule" should be fostered and <br />nurtured rather than diminished or extinguished; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA: That any and all State legislation presently <br />pending before either the Assembly or the Senate which would in <br />any way, or in any form, or to any extent, diminish, curtail, or <br />modify the existing concept of home rule be vigorously opposed. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the city Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 16th day of June, 1969. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />VICE- MAYOR <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COI/NTY OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br /> I, FLOP~ENCE I.
