In Re <br />Petition <br />Annexation <br />"Santa Aha <br />Gardens" <br /> <br />In Re <br />Petition <br />Annexation <br />Santa Ana High <br />School District <br /> <br />In Re <br />Establish setback <br />lines on W. 8th St. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Bid acceptance <br />Automobile for <br />Police Dept. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Bid acceptance <br />Concrete cylinder <br />pipe <br /> <br />In Re <br />Southern Missionary <br />Baptist Church - <br />Annexation <br /> <br />APPROVED: <br /> <br />Mayor of ~J~e '~ity of Santa Ana. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, an <br /> unsigned petition for consent to the commencement of annexation pro- <br /> ceedings of ~territory known as "Santa Ana Gardens", was referred to <br /> the Orange County Boundary Commission and Planning Commission, for <br /> report. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, an <br /> unsigned petition requesting that the City annex certain uninhabited <br /> territory, owned by Santa Ana High School District, was referred to <br /> the Orange County Boundary Commission and Planning Commission, for <br /> report.. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, <br /> that the question of the establishment of setback lines on West <br /> Eighth Street as follows: 34 feet on the north and 56 feet on the <br /> south from Broadway to Ross Street, and 38 feet on the north and <br /> <br />46 feet on the south from Ross Street to Shelton Street, all measure~ <br />from the existing surveyed center line of West Eighth Street, be <br />referred to the Planning Commission for their recommendation and <br />report to the Council. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Manager and on motion of Councilman Dahl, <br />seconded by Jerome and carried, the bid of George Dunton, in the sum <br />of $2139.44, was accepted for the furnishing of an auto_mobile for use <br />of the Police Department and all other bids rejected. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Manager and on motion of Councilman Jerome, <br />seconded by Larsen and carried, the bid of the American Pipe and <br />Constr~Action Company was accepted for the furnishing of 4,06~ lineal <br />feet of 16", Class 150 ~oncrete cylinder pipe; 6 - 32 foot lengths of <br />16", Class 150 concrete cylinder pipe with spigot adapter for cast <br />iron and hubs for concrete cylinder, and 7- 32 foot lengths of 16", <br />Class 150 concrete cylinder pipe with spigot adapters for cast iron <br />and spigots for concrete cylinder, and the other bid rejected. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Dahl, seconded by Larsen and carried, that <br />a communication be addressed to the Southern Missionary Baptist Chute! <br />advising that unless they comply with the requirements for annexation <br />by granting an easement along the easterly side of the property for <br />street purPoses and entering into an agreement to improve the same to <br />standard city specifications, or initiate action to do so, within <br />thirty days, that water and sewer services will be discontinued. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded bY Larsen and carried, the <br />Department of Public Works was authorized to discontinue the wa~er <br />and sewer services if all requirements are not complied with Within <br /> <br />the thirty-day period. <br />. <br /> On motion of Councilman Larsen, <br /> <br />City Council adjourned. <br /> <br />seconded by Dahl and carried, the <br /> <br /> Clerk of the Council <br /> <br /> <br />
