RESOLUTION 69-109 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, ASCERTAINING AND DETERMINING <br />THE PREVAILING RATES OF WAGES TO BE PAID FOR THE <br />CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC WORKS AND IMPROVEMENTS IN THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA UNTIL THE AMENDMENT OR REVOCATION <br />OF THIS RESOLUTION, AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION 68-176 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1773 of the Labor Code of the State of <br />california requires that any body awarding any contract for public <br />works shall ascertain the general prevailing rate of per diem wages <br />and general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work in the <br />locality in which the public work is to be performed for each <br />craft, classification, or type of workman needed to execute the <br />contract, and further allows such public body to publish said <br />prevailing rate in a newspaper of general circulation at least one <br />time during each year rather than setting forth said per diem rates <br />in each call for bids, in the bid specifications, and in the contract <br />itself; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana does hereby ascertain and determine that the <br />general prevailing rates of per diem wages for each craft, classi- <br />fication, or type of workman needed to execute public works contracts <br />and the general prevailing rate of legal holiday and overtime work <br />for each craft or type of work are in accordance with the schedules <br />attached hereto as "EXHIBIT A" and'~XHIBIT B" and made a part hereof <br />as though fully set out herein, and on file in the office of the <br />Director of Public Works of the City of Santa Ana; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That any classification omitted from <br />said "EXHIBIT A" and "EXHIBIT B" shall be paid not less than $4.145 <br />per hour; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That a copy of this Resolution and <br />any amendments adopted subsequent to this Resolution shall be filed <br />with the Director of Industrial Relations within ten (10) days of <br />the adoption thereof; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this Resolution shall be <br />published at least one time each year in a newspaper of general <br />circulation; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That Resolution 68-176 is hereby <br />rescinded.' <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br /> <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on <br />ATTE ST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />22nd day of July, 1969. <br /> <br /> MAYOR <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br /> I, FLORENCE I.
