RESOLUTION 69-150 DESIGNATING CROCKER-CITIZENS <br />NATIONAL BANK AS THE DEPOSITORY FOR CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA FUNDS EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1970, AND <br />DESIGNATING SIGNATUP~ES AUTHORIZED FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />WITHDRAWAL OF SAID FUNDS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, heretofore the city Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />has declared a policy of designating a bank in the city to handle <br />the demand deposits of city funds and, conforming to said expressed <br />policy, now declares a new period to begin January 1, 1970; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Crocker-Citizens <br />National Bank, 910 North Broadway, Santa Ana, California, is hereby <br />designated as the banking institution to receive and handle deposits <br />of Santa Ana City funds and trust funds in the control of said city <br />beginning January 1, 1970, and continuing for a term of two years, <br />unless sooner terminated; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER P~ESOLVED: That the Director of Finance of said <br />City is hereby authorized for and on behalf of said City, and as its <br />officer and agent, to sign city of Santa Ana checks for the withdrawal <br />of said funds so deposited both by facsimile signature machine- <br />imprinted upon City checks and by his manually affixed signature; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Deputy city Treasurer is <br />hereby authorized for and on behalf of said City, and as an agent of <br />said city, to sign city of Santa Aha checks for the withdrawal of <br />said funds so deposited by his manually affixed signature; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said Bank is hereby authorized <br />and directed to pay out from said City funds to the payee designated <br />on any city checks, signed in the manner and by persons hereinabove <br />authorized, in the amount shown on the face of the said check; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That because of physical absence, <br />incapacity or death of said agents it may be necessary on a temporary <br />basis to write emergency orders for the signing of City checks, the <br />City Manager is hereby authorized to designate in writing an agent or <br />agents who shall then be authorized to sign city checks for the <br />payment or withdrawal of said funds. Any such authorization shall <br />set forth the necessity for the designation, the period of time <br />during which authorization shall continue, by giving the exact <br />starting and terminating dates, and shall contain the certification <br />of the Clerk of the Council of the City of Santa Ana over the official <br />seal of the city of Santa Ana certifying that said authorization is, <br />in fact, signed by the qualified and acting City Manager, and shall <br />bear a specimen signature of the person designated as such temporary <br />agent; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That a certified copy of this <br />Resolution, together with copies of the signatures of the two agents <br />herein authorized to act in manual form and a copy of the facsimile <br />signature machine-imprint certified by the Clerk of the Council to <br />be the signatures of said persons, and an imprint of the official <br />facsimile signature plate, shall be delivered to said bank before <br />the first day of January, 1970; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Clerk of the Council shall <br />deliver to said Bank before the first day of January, 1970, her <br />certificate as provided for in the paragraph next above. At any time <br />either or both of said agents leave the employment of the city, is <br />absent therefrom, or incapacitated for a period of time that will <br />affect the making of city checks, the Clerk of the Council shall <br />notify said Bank of said fact and shall certify the names, titles, <br />and signatures of the person or persons then designated as agents of <br />the City for the purpose of signing city checks in the manner herein- <br />above provided fo~ and shall so notify said Bank of every termination <br />of such authorization immediately upon receiving such information, and <br />such information shall be her first duty and responsibility in the event <br />of termination of any such authorization of any such agent for the city. <br /> --1-- <br /> <br /> <br />
