S. Coombs; <br />Kathryn S. Blakley <br /> <br /> of the Chamber of Commerce stated they are receiving numerous inquirie <br /> from people to purchase land for M-1 Use and requested the application <br /> of Mn. Lewis be granted. On motion of 0ouncilman Larsen, seconded b2 <br /> McBride and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance amending Article IX of the Santa Ana <br /> Municipal Code creating changes in district <br /> boundaries and amending Sheet No. ~4 and Sheet <br /> No. ll of the districting map to show the re- <br /> classification" <br /> <br />was introduced, ~onsidered and placed on file for second reading. <br />This. being the date set for hearing on the amendment application of <br />Rainspray, Incorporated, no protests were received, for the reclass- <br />ification of property on the west side of Bristol Street between 17th <br />Street and Memory Lane, described as Lots 1 to ll inclusive, and 250, <br />Tract 1725, from the R-1 District to the R-2 District. On motion of <br />Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the following <br />Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance amending Santa Aha Municipal Code <br /> by amending Article IX thereof creating changes <br /> in district boundaries and by amending Sheet No. <br /> 22 of the districting map to show the reclass- <br /> ification" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br />Communication was read from the Planning Commission recommending <br />a~proval of proposed setback lines along the east side of McOlay Stree <br />from Chestnut to McFadden, and along a portion of West 17th Street wes~ <br />Of Bristol Street. The Council having unanimously waived the readimg <br />of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Larsen <br />.and carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. ~4-76 declaring intention to <br /> establish setback lines along the east side of <br /> McClay Street and along ~he north side of <br /> Seventeenth Street and fixing date of hearing <br /> ~hereof" <br /> <br />to establish a setback along the east side of McClay Street from <br />Chestnut to McFadden, 54 feet from the surveyed center line of McClay <br />Street measured at right angles, and, along the north side of West <br />17th Street from Bristol Street west to a poinS 138.71 feet east of <br />the surveyed center line of Alona Street, 140 feet north of the sur- <br />veyed center line of West 17th Street measured at right angles, was <br />considered and passed by She following rose: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Councilmen William Jerome, J.L.McBrlde, <br /> Thomas F. Larsen, Milford W. Dahl, <br /> Coumtney R. Chandler <br /> Noes, Oouncilmen None <br /> Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br /> Communication w~s read from the Planning Commission recommending <br /> <br />the filing fees for amendment applications be increased from $25.00 to <br />$75.00 and on variance applications from $10.00 to $35.00, and on <br />mo~ion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the Attorne <br />wa6 instructed to prepare an Ordinance So conform to the recommendati, <br />of the Commission. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Plan~ing Commission.was approved and variance <br />granted to Jane S. Coombs and Kathryn S. Blakeley, to permit construct- <br />ion of a single-family dwelling on property situated on the south side <br /> <br /> <br />
