Hale, in the amount of $47.00 to cover a portion of <br /> <br />medical expenses incurred for injuries sustained from a fall on the <br />freshly waxed office floor in Room 109 of the Community Center, was <br />referred to the Attorney and Insurance Carrier. <br /> <br />Communication was read from General Services Administration ~stating <br />Ghat' 'the Government elects to extend 'the period of occupancy from Jul <br />l, 1954 to June 30, 1955, under lease No. GS-OgB-213, for the United <br />Btates Department of Agriculture, Forestry Division, at the Community <br />Center,: and on motion of Oouncilman Jerome, seconded by Lateen and <br />carried, the communication was received, filed and extension of lease <br /> <br />grant ed. <br /># <br /> <br />O~ motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />Mayor was authorized to execute letter of renewal, dated May 2$th, <br />1955, on Contract N 123s-$4653, for continued service on sewage <br /> <br /> disposal for the Lighter-Than-Air Base, beginning July let, 1954. <br />, <br />On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />plans and specifieatione, as submitted by the Department of Public <br />Works, for the extension of Orange Avenue from Dyer Road to Central <br /> <br />Avenue, were approved. <br /># <br />On 'motion of Councilman Jerome, s~econded by Dahl and carried, the <br />plans and specifications, as submitted by the Department of public <br />Works, for the improvements of Seventeenth Street from Grand Avenue' <br /> <br />to the east City Limits, were approved. <br />, <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Lateen and carried, the <br />report of the Orange County Mosquito Abatement District for April, <br />and Personnel Board Minutes dated April 28th, 1955, were received and <br />filed. <br /> <br />A petition was read signed by seventy property owners and or reeident~ <br />on East ltth Street, East 15th Street and Grand Avenue, requesting <br />that the speed limit on Grand Avenue between Fruit Street and Seven- <br />teen~h Street be established at twenty-five miles per hour and this <br />a~e~ of Grand Avenue be marked and posted as a twenty-fiVe mile per <br />hour zone. On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by McBride and <br />carried, the petition was r~ferred to the Acting Chief of Police for <br /> <br />report. <br /># <br /> <br />The Oouncil having unanimously w~lve~ the reading of the Ordinance, on <br />motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the follow- <br />ing Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance amending Santa Aha Municipal Code by <br /> amending Article IX thereof creating changes in <br /> district boundaries and amending ~heet Number 22 <br /> of the Districting Map to show the reclassification" <br /> <br />of property at 1715 West 17th Street on the north side of the street <br />between Aloha and Bristol Streets, from R-1 and R-2 Districts to 0-2 <br />District, in accordance with amendment application of Charles C.
