RESOLUTION 69-177 ORDERING THE VACATION OF
<br />A PORTION OF RITCHEY STREET, NORTH OF
<br /> EDINGER AVENUE ON THE EAST SIDE OF RITCHEY
<br /> STREET AND RESERVING A UTILITY EASEMENT THEREON
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, on recommendation of the Department of Public
<br />Works and of the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana,
<br />the City Council is of the opinion that by reason of a minor
<br />relocation of Ritchey Street, north of Edinger Avenue, two small
<br />portions of the presently existing roadway should be summarily
<br />vacated and abandoned in the manner prescribed in Chapter 5,
<br />Division 2.5 of the Streets and Highways Code (commencing with
<br />section 1930); and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the total area involved is approximately 300 square
<br />feet;
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following described
<br />portions of real property, lying within the public right-of-way,
<br />but which by reason of a minor relocation of Ritchey Street north
<br />of Edinger Avenue are no longer required as a public right-of-way,
<br />be and are hereby summarily vacated and abandoned:
<br />
<br />That portion of the land allotted to Frederick W. Koll,
<br />in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of
<br />california, as described in the Final Decree of Parti-
<br />tion of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, which was
<br />entered September 12, 1968 in Book "B", Page 410 of
<br />Judgments of the District Court of the 17th Judicial
<br />District in and for Los Angeles County, california,
<br />described as follows:
<br />
<br />Ail that portion lying Easterly and Northeasterly of the
<br />following described line:
<br />
<br />Commencing at the center line intersection of Edinger
<br />Avenue and Ritchey Street as shown on a map of Tract No.
<br />6834, recorded in Book 255, Page 16 of Miscellaneous
<br />Maps, records of said Orange County; thence North 1° 20' 57"
<br />East along the center line of Ritchey Street a distance
<br />of 363.55 feet; thence South 89° 19' 38" East to a point
<br />on a line that is parallel with and distant 30.00 feet
<br />Easterly, measured at right angles, from said center line
<br />of Ritchey Street; thence South 1° 20' 57" West along
<br />said parallel line a distance of 103.90 feet and to the
<br />true point of beginning; thence South 1° 41' 09" East a
<br />distance of 182.94 feet to the beginning of a tangent
<br />curve concave Northeasterly having a radius of 27.00 feet;
<br />thence Southeasterly along the arc of said curve through
<br />a central angle of 88° 26' 13" an arc distance of 41.67
<br />feet to a tangent line, said tangent line being parallel
<br />with and distant 50.00 feet Northerly from the center
<br />line of Edinger Avenue.

<br />RESERVING an easement over that portion lying Easterly of
<br />said described line to construct, place, operate, inspect,
<br />maintain, repair, replace and remove such aerial and
<br />underground telephone, telegraph and communication structures
<br />as the company may from time to tim9 require, consisting
<br />of poles, anchors, wires, cables, conduits, manholes,
<br />markers and necessary fixtures and appurtenances.
<br />
<br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Santa Ana reserves
<br />unto itself and excepts from this abandonment the easement and
<br />right at any time, or from time to time, to construct, maintain,
<br />operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains
<br />
