RESOLUTION 69-180 RECOMMENDING DESIGNATION <br />OF ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS AS <br />COORDINATING AGENT FOR ORANGE COUNTY URBAN <br />AREA IN TOPICS PROGRAM <br /> <br /> W~EREAS, Senate Bill 1028, which implements the federal <br />TOPICS program in California, has become effective; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />apportioned to <br />areas; and <br /> <br />funds available under said program are to be <br />local agencies for expenditure within urban <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, to facilitate this process a Co-ordinating Agent <br />for each urban area must be appointed, which agent may be a city <br />or county or other appropriate organization within the area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by Resolution 69-1037, dated October 7, 1969, the <br />County Board of Supervisors requested it be named by the State <br />Department of Public Works as the Co-ordinating Agent for the <br />County of Orange urban area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said appointment would appear to be a logical <br /> <br />one; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> <br /> 1. That the City Council of the city of Santa Ana hereby <br />approves the resolution of the Orange County Board of Supervisors <br />numbered 69-1037, and recommends on its own part that the Orange <br />County Board of Supervisors be named by the State Department of <br />Public Works as the Coordinating Unit within Orange County for <br />the effectuating and facilitating of the Federal TOPICS program; <br /> <br /> 2.
