RESOLUTION 70-14 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br />EXTENDING FRIENDLY GREETINGS TO THE <br />CITY OF TOKYO, JAPAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in recent years Tokyo, capital city of Japan, has <br />closely allied its goals with those of the United States of America; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in the mutual pursuit of such goals, the governments <br />of our two great countries have worked together harmoniously; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the United States of America looks upon Japan as the <br />principal economic, moral, and ethical force in the Eastern world; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana wishes to recognize and express <br />its appreciation for the responsibility and vitality exhibited by other <br />municipalities around the world which are contributing to the peaceful <br />expansion of production, trade, and goodwill; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> 1. That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, for itself and, <br />in its representative capacity, for the citizens of the City of Santa Ana, <br />extends its most cordial greetings to the citizens and municipal author- <br />ities of the City of Tokyo, Japan; <br /> <br /> 2.
