RESOLUTION 70-15 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> EXTENDING FRIENDLY GREETINGS TO THE <br /> CITY OF LONDON, GREAT BRITAIN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, for generations there has existed a close bond of <br />respect and admiration between our two great countries; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this tie of friendship and devotion was never more <br />perfectly demonstrated than in the second World War, when our <br />countries reciprocated in their support for one another; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this same type of attitude persists to this day; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, we look to Great Britain, and to London, its capital, <br />as sources of strength and alliance and as representatives of those <br />dedicated to the preservation of world freedom; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> 1. That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, for itself <br />and, in its representative capacity, for the citizens of the City of <br />Santa Ana, extends its most cordial greetings to the citizens and <br />municipal authorities of the City of London, Great Britain; <br /> <br /> 2.
