RESOLUTION 70 -16 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> EXTENDING FRIENDLY GREETINGS TO THE <br /> CITY OF FRANKFURT, GERMANY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in recent years the citizens of Frankfurt on Main, <br />in West Germany, have striven by application and industry to restore <br />wealth and well-being not only to their City but also to their nation; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Frankfurt, by its accomplishments and example, <br />has served as a model for other cities similarly situated; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the People of the United States of America look to <br />West Germany in the expectation that it will be the principal source <br />of strength in the economy of western Europe and will serve as an <br />exemplar of industrial accomplishment; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> 1. That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, for itself and, <br />in its representative capacity, for the citizens of the City of Santa Ana, <br />extends its most cordial greetings to the citizens and municipal author- <br />ities of the City of Frankfurt, Germany; <br /> <br /> 2.
