RESOLUTION 70-17 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> EXTENDING FRIENDLY GREETINGS TO THE <br /> CITY OF BANGKOK, THAILAND <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during the recent turmoil in Southeast Asia there <br />has remained an area of sanity, an island of tranquility to which <br />American and allied forces could travel for welcome intervals of <br />recreation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this extension of ql~ai friendship is of invaluable <br />assistance to those citizens of the United States of America who <br />have been able to enjoy it, including residents of the City of Santa <br />Aha; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Santa Ann wish to express <br />their appreciation to the citizens and officials of Bangkok for that <br />aid and comfort which the forces of this country have enjoyed in <br />their territory; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> 1. That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, for itself and, <br />in its representative capacity, for the citizens of the City of Santa Ann, <br />extends its most cordial greetings to the citizens and municipal author- <br />ities of the City of Bangkok, Thailand; <br /> <br /> 2.
