RESOLUTION 70-20 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br />EXTENDING FRIENDLY GREETINGS TO THE <br />CITY OF ATHENS, GREECE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in the Balkans of Southern Europe the kingdom of <br />Greece has stood for centuries as a jewel; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the contributions of Greeks in general and of <br />Athenians in particular have given direction and substance to human <br />experience in many and varied ways; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Santa Ana wish to be <br />counted among those who recognize and appreciate the tremendous <br />contributions of the citizens of Athens; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; <br /> 1. That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, for itself <br />and, in its representative capacity, for the citizens of the City of <br />Santa Ana, extends its most cordial greetings to the citizens and <br />municipal authorities of the City of Athens, Greece; <br /> <br /> 2.
