RESOLUTION 70-21 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br />EXTENDING FRIENDLY GREETINGS TO THE <br />CITY OF OSAKA, JAPAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on the southern coast of Honshu, in Japan, is the <br />seaport of Osaka; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Osaka is the site of Expo '70, an internationally <br />significant exhibition; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the citizens and officials of the City of Osaka are <br />to be commended for the tremendous efforts which were necessarily <br />expended to achieve such a monumental event; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Santa Ana to recognize <br />and express its appreciation for the peaceful responsibility and vitality <br />exhibited by other municipalities around the world; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> 1. That the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, for itself <br />and, in its representative capacity, for the citizens of the City of <br />Santa Ana, extends its most cordial greetings to the citizens and <br />municipal authorities of the City of Osaka, Japan; <br /> <br /> 2. Thai the City Council further expresses its sincere hope <br />and expectation that the mutually beneficial and peaceful relation- <br />ship existing between our two countries will continue unabated; <br /> <br /> 3.
