On being questioned by Councilman McBride, <br /> <br />Mrs. Armstrong stated she would obJec~ to the granting of a variance. <br /> <br />on the property in question. Mrs. Lucy Crawford, 938 Grand Avenue,. <br /> <br />Mr; and Mrs. H. L. Whitaker, l~14 E. I5th Street, Mr. Johns, ~07 <br /> <br />Eastwood Avenue, and others, concurred in Mrs. Armstrongts reasons <br /> <br />for disapproving the rezoning. C.E. Appleton, Real Estate Agent <br /> <br />for Mr. Camarata, gave various reasons why the property is not suit- <br /> <br />able for residential use between the Cracks and Grand Avenue and pre- <br /> <br />sented a letter signed by County Super~cisor C.M.Featherly, stating the <br /> <br />County is not interested in purchasing property on Washington Avenue <br />directly north of the County property.
