<br />on motion of Gouncllman Larsen, seconded by Jerome and carried, the

<br />following Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br />"Resolution No. 5~-115 authorizing execution of
<br />agreement granting a license to City of Santa Ana
<br />to install 16-inch water pipe across Railroad
<br />right-of-way"

<br />was considered and passed by the following vote:

<br /> On motion of Councilman Larsen, seconded by Dahl and carried, the
<br /> Planning Commission was instructed to submit to the Council, at meetir
<br /> to be held August 2nd, 1954, a recommendation on the rezoning of the
<br /> 94.95 acre parcel of land located southeast of the corner of the intez
<br /> section of Delhi Road and Flower Street, known as the Antone Borchard
<br /> ~nnexation.
<br />On recommendation of the Manage~ and on motion of Councilman Dahl,
<br />
<br /> seconded by Jerome and carried, the Clerk was instructed to publish a
<br /> notice of public hearing on the proposed Budges for the fiscal year
<br /> 195~-55, setting date as August 2nd, 1955, according to the provisionsi
<br /> of the Charter.
<br />
<br />The Manager reported on the request of the Board of Education that
<br />traffic controls be installed at the intersections of Camile and. Ross
<br />and Camile and Patton Streets and stated the Board is agreeable to
<br />placing portable ctop lights, to be used only during the school sessio~ .
<br />On motion of Councilmau Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, the
<br />recommendation was approved and authorization granted to proceed on
<br />
<br />the experiment~ of the portable stop signs.

<br />On motion of Councilman Larsen, seconded by Jerome and carried, the
<br />request of Ers. M.L. Dean, Chairman, Mission President, Second Baptist
<br />Church, to conduct a Tag Day July 9th and 10th, or July 16th and 17th,
<br />was received and filed as oral request for cancellation of application
<br />
<br />was accepted.

<br />The Manager reported on the reque~ of G. Byron Deshler, Minister of
<br />the Spurgeon Memorial Methodist Church, ~hat at least four parking
<br />spaces be reserved for use of the Ministers, Church staff and visitors
<br />and recommended that the request be denied as it is contrary to the
<br />established policy to grant permission for special use of curb space.
<br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the
<br />recommendation was approved and Manager iastructed to notify the
<br />Minister of Council action.

<br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the plant
<br />and specifications, as submitted by the Acting Director of Public Work~,
<br />were approved for the widening and improving of East First Street from
<br />the Santa Ee tracks to the east City limits.
