RESOLUTION 70-36 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING <br />CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS TO FILE A WRITTEN <br />ARGUMENT FOR A CITY MEASURE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election consolidated with <br />the statewide direct primary election is to be held in the City <br />of Santa Ana on June 2, 1970, at which there will be submitted <br />to the qualified electors of said City the following City <br />measure: <br /> <br /> Shall the charter of the City of Santa Ana <br /> be amended to delete Article VIII, dealing <br /> with the establishment and regulation of <br /> the Santa Ana Board of Educatio~ in order <br />: that State code provisions pertaining <br /> thereto may control? <br /> <br />: YES : : <br /> <br />: NO : : <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, <br />california, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER, as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1: That this city Council, being the legislative <br />body of the City of Santa Ana, hereby authorizes the following <br />members of this body to file a written argument for the City <br />measure set forth in the recitals hereof in accordance with <br />Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 4 of the Elections Code of the <br />State of california, and to change said argument until and including <br />the date fixed by the Clerk of the Council after which no arguments <br />for or against said city measure may be submitted to her. <br /> <br />Wade Herrin <br /> <br />Vernon S.
