RESOLUTION 70-46 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "MAYWOOD AND RITCHEY NORTHWEST ANNEXATI ON~ WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County has approved a description of territory hereinbelow contained and annexation of said territory to the city of Santa Ana, California; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the requirements of Government Code Section 54797.1, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County has approved the within annexation and has authorized the city Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, to annex said territory without notice and hearing by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, hereby finds and declares that said territory was uninhabited at the time of the adoption of this Resolution, and is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana; that all of the statements hereinabove are true and correct; that said territory shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this annexation; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That all of the territory in the County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at the most Southeasterly corner in the City boundary of the city of Santa Ana as annexed by the "Industrial Annex" by Ordinance NS-134, said corner being a point on a line parallel with and 20.00 feet Northerly, measured at right angles, from the center line of Warner Avenue, said point also being distant 297.64 feet Westerly, measured along said parallel line, from the center line of Newport Avenue; thence Northerly along said city boundary of the City of Santa Ana a distance of 1282.07 feet to an angle point in the City boundary of the City of Santa Ana as annexed by the Newport and Ritchey North Annex by Ordinance NS-844; thence North 89" 41' 53" East along said Santa Ana City boundary as annexed by Ordinance NS-844 a distance of 1131.68 feet to an angle point in said Santa Ana city boundary; thence South 0° 31' 00" West along said Santa Ana city boundary a distance of 233.11 feet to an angle point in said Santa Ana City boundary; thence South 49° 20' 48" East along said Santa Aha City boundary a distance of 60 feet, more or less, to an angle point in said Santa Ana city boundary and to an angle point in the City boundary of the City of Tustin as annexed by the Warner-Sycamore Annexation by Ordinance Number 245; thence continuing South 49~ 20' 48" East along said Tustin City boundary a distance of 16.00 feet to an angle point in said Tustin City boundary; thence South 40° 39' 12" West along said Tustin City boundary a distance of 1314.66 feet, more or less, to the Easterly extension of a line parallel with and 20.00 feet Northerly, measured at right angles, from the center line of Warner Avenue as it exists West of the center line of Newport Avenue; thence departing from said Tustin City boundary North 89~ 20' 15" West along last mentioned parallel line, a distance of 356.95 feet to the point of beginning, be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Ana and to Ward No. 6 in said City, and said Annexation is by this Resolution effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation of this territory, the designation that applies is "Santa Ana City - 1957- 1958 Annexes".
