3/88 - Due to poor condition the original was destroyed. <br /> <br /> AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT BETWEEN THE <br /> BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION <br />PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM AND THE <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> OF THE <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> <br /> The Board of Administration, Public Employees' Retirement <br />System, hereinafter referred to as BOARD, and the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana, hereinafter referred to as PUBLIC AGENCY, <br />having entered into a contract under date of November 25, 1946, <br />effective July l, 1947, and as amended effective October 1, 1951, <br />January 1, 1954, September 1, 1956, July 1, 1959, November 1, 1960, <br />September 1, 1963, April 1, 1964, February 1, 1965, and January 16, <br />1969, which provides for participation of Public Agency in said <br />System, Board and Public Agency hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br />A. The following subparagraphs shall be added to said Contract: <br /> <br />8 (n) <br /> <br />Section 21251.75 of the Government Code (providing for <br />increases in allowances payable for time commencing on <br />the first day of the calendar month coinciding with or <br />next following the effective date of this amendment to <br />persons retired prior to January 1, 1967). <br /> <br />B. Paragraphs 9 (a) and 9 (b) shall be stricken from said Contract <br /> and the following paragraphs substituted therefor: <br /> <br />7 (a) <br /> <br />With respect to miscellaneous members, the public agency <br />shall contribute the following percentages of monthly <br />salaries earned as miscellaneous members of said System: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />2.074 percent until June 30, 1977 on account of the <br />liability for prior service benefits. <br /> <br />(2) 6.690 percent on account of the liability for <br /> current service benefits. <br /> <br />7 (b) <br /> <br />With respect to local safety members, the public agency <br />shall contribute the following percentages of monthly <br />salaries earned as local safety members of said System: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />1.830 percent until June 30, 1977 on account of <br />the liability for prior service benefits. <br /> <br />(2) 9.650 percent on account of the liability for <br /> current service benefits. <br /> <br />C.
