PETITION <br /> <br /> OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />TO THE HONORABLE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS <br /> OF ORANGE COUNTY· CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> The CITY OF SANTA AdA, an incorporated city within the County <br />of Orange, hereby petitions your Honorable Body to except and <br />exclude all property within the limits of the CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />from any tax levied by the County of Orange to provide funds for <br />structural fire protection within the County of Orange as provided <br />for by Government code Section 25643. <br /> <br /> The reason for the exception of property within the CITY OF <br /> SANTA AdA from said levy is that said city now has in operation <br /> <br />· and existence an organized fire department which does now provide, <br /> and has provided for many years last past, adequate structural <br /> fire protection for all property within the City and that no bene- <br /> fit in fire protection is or would be received or required by such <br /> property from structural fire protection given by the County. The <br /> detailed reasons and factual statements supporting this Petition <br /> are contained in Resolution 70-53 adopted by the City Council on <br /> June 1, 1970, a certified copy of which said Resolution is attached <br /> hereto. <br /> <br /> For the foregoing ~easons this Petition is laid before your <br />Honorable Body and the members of the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana pray that you heed this, their Petition. <br /> <br />· 1970. <br /> <br /> By Direction: <br /> <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA, a municipal <br /> corporati~on, /~ <br /> <br />-CARL J.
