RESOLUTION 70-58 APPROVING MAP AND DECLARING INTENTION <br />TO VACATE A PORTION OF PULLMAN STREET BETWEEN ALTON <br />AND GARRY AVENUES AND GIVING NOTICE OF HEARING THEREON <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Pullman Street as it exists between Alton and Garry <br />Avenues is no longer necessary for present or prospective street <br />purposes, and the Department of Public Works and the Planning <br />Com~iSsio~ of the City of Santa Ana have recommended that a public <br />hearing be set on the question of vacating said right of way; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana hereby approves the map attached hereto and <br />orders the same filed with the original of this Resolution in the <br />office of the Clerk of the Council, and reference is hereby made <br />to said map for the exterior boundaries of the right of way proposed <br />to be vacated; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares <br />its intention to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vacation <br />Act of 1941 (Sections 8300 through 8374 of the California Streets <br />and Highways Code) to vacate that portion of Pullman Street between <br />Alton and Garry Avenues; said right of way proposed to be vacated <br />lies within the city of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of <br />California, and is described as: <br /> <br />That portion of Lot 116 in Block 9 of Irvine's Subdivision in <br />the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, <br />as per map recorded in Book 1, Page 88 of Miscellaneous Record~ <br />Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said County, <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the most northerly corner of the land described in <br />the deed to the city of Santa Ana recorded October 14, 1968 in <br />Book 8751, Page 88 of Official Records in the office of said <br />County Recorder; thence North 48" 42' 53" West 80.00 feet along <br />the Northwesterly prolongation of the Northeasterly line of the <br />land described in said deed to the Northwesterly line of the land <br />shown as Parcel 6 on maps recorded April 10, 1967 in State Highway <br />Map Book No. 5, Pages 3 to 9 inclusive, records of Orange County, <br />as said Parcel 6 is described in Relinquishment of Highway Right <br />of Way in the County of Orange, a copy of which was recorded <br />April 29, 1968 in Book 8586, Page 649 of official Records; thence <br />North 40" 38' 52" East 170.34 feet along said Northwesterly line <br />to an angle point therein; thence North 45° 22' 22" East 376.66 <br />feet along said Northwesterly line to a point on a non-tangent <br />curve concave Easterly, having a radius of 87.00 feet, a radial <br />to said point bears North 44Q 37' 38" West; thence leaving said <br />parallel line, Southwesterly, Southerly and Southeasterly 129.65 <br />feet along said curve through a central angle of 85° 23' 06" to <br />the Southeasterly line of the land described as Parcel 6 in the <br />Final Order of Condemnation recorded May 3, 1966 in Book 7920, <br />Page 139 of official Records; thence South 45Q 22~ 22" West 238.78 <br />feet along said Southeasterly line to the beginning of a curve <br />therein, concave Southeasterly, having a radius of 1160.00 feet; <br />thence Southwesterly 95.66 feet along said curve and said <br />Southeasterly line, through a central angle of 4° 43' 30"; thence <br />South 40~ 38' 52" West 120.07 feet along said Southeasterly line <br />to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />Subject to covenants, conditions, reservations, restrictions, <br />rights of way and easements, if any, of record. <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
