Sandstrom etal <br />Tract No. 23~7 <br /> <br /> of the tracks on its Santa Ana Line and Greenville Branch, from <br /> Artesia Street on the Santa Ana Line to McFadden Street on the Green- <br /> ville ~i~anch, in 'the City of Santa Ana. On motion of Councilman Dahl, <br /> seconded by Larsen and carried, the matter was referred to the <br /> Attorney. <br /> <br />The Manager requested a Minute Order authorizing an amendment of the <br />Budget transferring from the Council Unappropriated Reserve Fund ll to <br />Fund 75 Equipment Maintenance, the amount of $750.00, for the purpose <br />of procttring materials as may be required and the const~'uction, by <br />City forces, of a float powered chassis to be used for various Civic <br />organizations and affairs. On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by <br />Jerome and carried, the request for transfer of funds was approved. <br /> <br />The written report of the Manager on the reconstruction of Third Street <br />from Ross to Spurgeon Streets, by City forces, totaling $15,770.73, <br />plus an arbitrary amount of 50% for salaries and overhead, in the <br />amount of $1,345.15, in comparison to the lowest bid received for <br />$26,693.50, Was on motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and <br /> <br /> carried, received and filed. <br /> # <br /> <br />The Manager recommended authorization fo~ an amendment to the Budget <br />creating an activity called Parking Meter 27-4.52 to be entitled <br />Parking Meter Fund Support of Parking Lots~ and a transfer of <br />funds from activity 27-113-911 "Unapplied Appropriations"to 27-4.52 in <br />the amount of $36,300.00. On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by <br />Jerome and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br /> <br />A petition was read signed by twenty residents in the Lowell School <br />District requesting a crossing guard or a pedestrian cross-walk at <br />Richland or Bishop Streets, at Bristol Street. The Manager stated <br />that a cross-walk has been painted in the area and recommended that a <br />crossing guard be employed at the intersection of Bishop and Bristol <br /> <br /> Streets. On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Larsen and <br /> ordered <br /> carried, the recommendation was approved and a crossing guard/employed. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Councilman Dahl, <br />seconded by Larsen and carried, the request of Julio Fuentes, 926 West <br />4th Street for a twenty-minute zone, was denied. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Councilman Dahl, <br />seconded by Jerome and carried, the request of South Santa Aha Church <br />of Christ that a cross-walk be established in front of the Church prop- <br />erty, was denie~. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Councilman Dahl, <br />seconded by Jerome and carried, the request of Southern California <br />Edison Company for permission to construct two 30' driveways along <br />Custer Street at Washington Avenue, was granted. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Councilman Dahl~ <br />seconded by Larsen and carried, the request of George M. and Stanley B. <br />Sandstrom that the City bear a portion of the cost for the improvements <br />on McFadden Street. in Tract No. 2347 was denied and the policy followed <br /> <br />as set forth in the Subdivision Ordinance. <br /># <br /> <br /> <br />
