P~ESOLUTION 70-76 UPHOLDING THE DECISION OF THE <br />ZONING ADMINISTRATORAND GRANTING A VARIANCE <br />ON VARIANCE APPLICATION 70-31 FILED BY SANTA ANA <br />RECAP AND BRAKE SERVICE, SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE <br />CONDITIONS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after public hearing on notice, the Zoning <br />Administrator granted a variance on Variance Application 70-31, <br />filed by SANTA ANA RECAP & BRAKE SERVICE to permit storage in the <br />open (enclosed by a solid wall) in the C 2 District at 1810 West <br />First Street, Santa Ana, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Appeal Application No. 241 was duly filed by the <br />SANTA ANA PLANNING COMMISSION, appea~ing the decision of the <br />Zoning Administrator to grant said Variance and presenting the <br />matter to the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, after public hearing on notice <br />has determined that said Variance Application meets the requirements <br />of Section 41-638 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code and that said <br />Variance should be granted subject to certain applicable conditions; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana does hereby affirm the decision of the Zoning <br />Administrator and does hereby grant a variance on Variance Applica- <br />tion 70-31, filed by SANTA ANA RECAP & BP~AKE SERVICE to permit <br />storage in the open (enclosed by a solid wall) in the C 2 District <br />at 1810 West First Street, Santa Ana; and said Variance is granted <br />subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. That the plot plan be modified to show the proposed 6' high <br />block wall extended to the westerly property line; <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />That the development be according to the approved plot plan <br /> except for minor modifications to be approved by the <br /> Planning Department; <br /> <br />That in the future all tire storage shall be in the southwesterly <br /> corner of the property and shall be at least 20 feet away <br /> from the building; <br /> <br />4. That no storage extend above the block wall which encloses it. <br /> <br />5. That any outdoor portable signs either be removed or placed <br /> inside of the building; <br /> <br />THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS ARE TO BE COMPLIED WITH AS CONDITIONS OF <br />APPROVAL: <br /> <br />6. Provide a deed for vehicular access rights to First Street <br />except the east 36 feet of the westerly 58 feet. <br /> <br />NOTE: Dedication shall be initiated by owner, through the <br /> Department of Public Works, at least four weeks prior to <br /> application for a building permit to avoid delay. <br /> <br />7. Payment be made for ornamental street lighting. <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
