Council Chamber <br />Santa Aha CiSy Hall <br />October 4, 1954. 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular session. <br />Meeting called to order by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Present: <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmen <br />Councilmen <br /> <br />William Jerome, J.L.McBride, Thomas F. <br />Milford W. Dahl, Courtney R. Chandler. <br />None <br /> <br />Larsen, <br /> <br />Each member of the Council having received copies.of the Minutes of <br />September 20th, 1955, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and <br />approved on motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried. <br /> ff <br /> <br />In Re The Manager reported one bid was received for the purchase of two <br /> <br />Bid acceptance <br />Two automobiles; <br />T~.~o motorcycles <br />for Police Dept. <br /> <br />automobiles for the Police Department and reconm~ended that the award <br />be made to George Dunton, in the sum of $3,872.52, which includes <br /> <br />$800.00 for trade-in of two automobiles. On motion of Councilman <br /> <br />Larsen, seconded by Jerome and carried, the recommendation of the <br /> <br />Manager was approved and the bid of George Dunton was accepted. The <br /> <br />Manager reported one bid was received for the purchase of two Police <br /> <br />motorcycles, solo type, and recommended that the award be made to Wager <br />and Walker in the sum of $2,227.12, which includes $500.00 for trade- <br /> <br />in of two motorcycles. On motion of Councilman Larsen, seconded by <br /> <br />Jerome and carried, the recommendation of the Manager was approved and <br /> <br />In Re <br />Hearing <br /> "Sadd Annex" <br />Ordinance Declaring <br />Annexation <br /> <br />the bid of Wager and Walker was accepted. <br /> <br />This being the da~e set for hearing protests on annexation to the City <br />of certain uninhabited territory designated "Sadd Annex", and no pro- <br />tests being received; on motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by <br /> <br />Larsen and carried, ~he following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance declaring the annexation of that <br />certain territory designated ~Sadd Annex~" <br /> <br />In Re <br />Variance <br />Earthy L. <br /> <br />Carroll <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, the <br /> <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br /> <br />granted to Earthy L. Carroll to permit construction and operation of a <br /> <br />snack shop at 1132 West First Street, subject to certain conditions. <br /># <br /> <br /> <br />
